Palace takeover is here... great location next to the river. Just need some sun to top it off now!

Might be in the Embankment area so could head there. Long tube journey without a piss break though.

Racin - thanks for this flyer. Looks like a great family day out.
I think that the easter egg hunt is a really good idea, but please make sure that if you are planning to bury any in the sand, make sure that you check the tide table.
Have you got anything planned for the adults too?

At the Big Easy? Went to the Canary Wharf one a few weeks back, between 4 of us we got through 5 bottles of Prosecco and 20 mojitos. Utter chaos, can't remember much about the food except there's a lot. Go for the BBQ option rather than the lobster as the latter isn't unlimited

Think we'll stick to pubs for this one...

Each to their own and the Founders is a nice south bank pub with views of the Thames etc. But it's miles from Fulham Broadway. Would Putney or somewhere off the district line not make more sense?

They might bump into more Chelsea fans there.

This has cup final bottle job written all over it.

Only takes 24 mins no changes... well worth it for the large outside area overlooking the river, looking forward to it :p

Any decent pubs in Putney... the Palace boat will be getting into there at 1pm so still an hour or so drinking time to kill before the game.

Maybe The Boat house which is on the south bank of the bridge? Well used by Palace fans for the Fulham games and viewing the river. A quick look on computer says it's 1.8 miles from Stamford Bridge and 19 minutes walk. Afterwards cross back over river and fairly straight along Fulham Road to ground.

I'll be on boat and was thinking of following crowd to a pub, for yet more beer! Others may have better suggestion but this could be quite good. Depends how near it is to being dropped off by boat.

We are hitting the Temperance which is over the road from Putney Bridge tube. Did similar last year. Really nice pub.

Merseyside Derby is on as well which is always worth the watch.

I was in the star and garter riverside pub pre Fulham when the boat arrived. It docks right next to it.

Was that because of Mother's Day?

My preferred option is to go to Imperial Wharf via Clapham Junction, and then have a few at the Waterside (a Young's pub with a reasonable choice of beers). It is a short walk to the ground from there.

Good point. We tried booking but weren't allowed.

Went to the Breakfast Club instead which was half empty and served similar food.

Back to Saturday, do the pubs around West Brompton let away fans in?

The white horse is a great pub, would definitely recommend it, used it for the last two Fulham pre-season friendlies. (Good selection of ales, and a 5min walk to the station)

In the summer we had no probs (pre/post match) and there was 25 Palace in attendance. They also had a BBQ going out the front if you want food (although there is a Waitrose opposite)

I went on the boat to the 1-0 defeat at Chelsea and it landed (?) docked somewhere else (further up the Thames). Was a long treck to the ground from where we docked and no pubs en route to the ground. 2 of our lot still didn't get allowed in though so you probably won't need a pub after drinking on the boat for several hours!

We went in there before the first game when we came up (when we lost 2-1). All Chelsea in there and a lot in colours but families in the main and very much their posh crowd, so I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem.

It was packed with Chelsea fans so we made sure we returned for a pint after the game as well :D :lux:
