Stoke haven't won away since November, always poor when I see them but rarely in the bottom half in recent seasons, living a charmed life in my book. If they can grind out a atleast a draw Burnley will be getting very nervous

Hopefully Leicester can finish off Sunderland

West ham who have lost 4 on the trot and not won in 7 must be cacking it. They will have the 'too good to go down label' for sure.

Their games Arse away tomorrow, Swansea at home sat. Lose that and they are in serious trouble, sunderland away, everton at home, stoke away, spurs at home, liverpool at home, burnley away.

Given they have only taken 2 points out of 18 and have not played any tough sides in that run they could have a long wait to be safe and may only survive because others don't pick up points.

I would agree about being nearly safe, but depends on Hull and Swansea also. I wouldn't agree that we could be in massive trouble though - Sunderland are in massive trouble, Boro are in massive trouble. We'll still be outside the bottom 3 regardless, and only maybe will the gap have closed.

Sunderland and Swansea both have 8 games to go. Simplistically (not mathematically;) ) If Sunderland could win 3 more in those 8 than Swansea then Swansea would go down instead of Sunderland.

Given that they beat us 4 nil a few weeks ago and now we are beating the league leaders, and given their previous last minute miracles to avoid the drop, it does not seem to be in any way impossible that they might yet stay up.

Funny though how the best odds on Sunderland to survive are just 33/1, when they are 100 to 200 to one ON for the drop... some margin there!!

I just can't see us winning today purely because it just feels like after 4 wins - and the last one being an unbelievable one - we're bound to have an off day. Would be delighted with a point I have to say.

We're all worrying about Hull predominantly, but it may be that the Swans have shot their bolt after their new manager bounce. They've gathered 1 point from the last 3 games - 2 of those against the bottom 3! They've still got Spurs, Everton and Man U to play too.

Also, surely one of the sides just above us will struggle to pull away. West Ham have lost their last 4 games and only won 1 in their last 8. They've still got Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton to play.

The Sunderland result against us was a one off freak scoreline - since the turn of the year they've played 11 league games during which time they've scored seven goals and picked up six points. No way are Sunderland staying up.

Sunderland are down, Boro are practically down. It's between us, Hull and Swansea, and we've got the points and the goal difference on the board. I think it will be Swansea, but it's just a hunch.

Yes the sunderland result was a freak result, well scoreline, anyway. Football is a strange and unpredictable sport. Our result epitomised that on Saturday. No one put us under as much pressure as Chelped did bit somehow we won. We have conceded 4 goals or more against poor sides who we matched for the most part..
I worry about tonight because it is after the Lord mayors show so to speak. A win would be fantastic. But I hope Hull and Boro draw and Swansea and west ham lose.. If one of them must win I'd prefer it to be Boro

You could argue that we had an off day against Watford, given that we displayed no quality besides Wilf's individual skill. Luckily, we now have a manager capable of getting results by scrapping and working hard even if we're not on our game. Southampton is a tougher proposition though.

Thankfully we've got a manager who said as much straight away and can hopefully use that as a means to do everything possible to avert that.

I do think points on the board and current form aside, one other tangible that we have in our corner that we should all feel quite positive about is our manager. Like Pulis a few seasons ago, we've got a very canny operator who knows his way around a relegation scrap.

I'm nervous about this too - feels like Saturday was such a monumental effort, I hope we have enough in the tank for tonight. Every game feels huge at the moment, it must be a physical and emotional drain on the players.

We could be well clear by Monday and equally we could be back in the relegation zone by then if results don't go our way. Squeaky bum time.

Its the defensive issues that concern me We will not have two of the better iones. Down the road I thiought we might have a chance at Liverpool but if Sakho has to sit it out...

Referee making a total feck up by disallowing it but instead of a retake gives Burton a FK

What a mutant. Should be sacked
