Sod it, our game is over and like most predicted this was almost the more important game today so deserves it's own thread dedicated to us cheering on Everton.

Please please please please put us out of our misery and Everton beat Swansea. Surely the Gods of football would say to all those that travelled today to see us get stuff and those that had to watch that punishment this is our time to be happy tonight.

Please..... 3 hours and waiting!!!

As long as Everton don't give any free kicks away around the box I cannot see Swansea scoring from open play.
C' Mon Everton.

Sunderland who played well today beating hull at home, hull whose home form has been exceptional?

So you say, even if Swansea win everything we need to avoid defeat at hull. If that's true why on earth have you lost hope? Cabaye and Tomkins back, packed selhurst, HF on song.

My advice to people is it's Saturday night so go out and enjoy yourselves. Don't put yourselves through the pain barrier as Everton are making Swansea look like Real Madrid. No point stressing over the Everton game. Unless Everton somehow miraculously manages to win it, nothing changes. All we have to do is avoid losing at home to Hull.

Take the 3 best centre backs and the best midfielder out of any side outside the top 7, and they'd be the worst side in the league too. Dare I say it but we've been a tad unlucky. (Well, perhaps poor squad rotation from Sam.)

You would have thought everton would at least get a draw. It seems records are being dashed all overy. Burnley not winning away. Marco Silva unbeaten at home. Everton never losing to swansea in prem and never losing to a team in bottom 3

Yep.

Home defeats to:

Burnley
Sunderland
Swansea
West Ham
1 pt v Bournemouth
West Brom

Two defeats to Swansea, two to Burnley...

We've been absolute garbage and if we go down can have no qualms.Away wins against the presumptive Champions, Chelsea; and Liverpool (for the third year in a succession) in recent weeks - not to mention the humbling of Arsenal at Selhurst.

We've been absolutely brilliant and if we go down we can be justly upset.

Everton look flat and fairly clueless going forward. Mirallas is the only one that has shown any movement or even a glimmer of interest. It was always going to happen but I am still surprised that Everton look so poor. Holgate looks awful going forward and they can let him cross it all day and they won't score. Lukaku needs a rocket, As do their midfield. Barry has been their best player but even he let that cross come in for their goal.

Watching our past two performances I honestly don't think we have the defensive leaders or the characters in that team to get a result next week. Without Sakho, Dann, Tomkins or Cabaye I have no expectations whatsoever. We're going to have rely on others to get us out of this I'm afraid and reading between the lines in Allardyce's post match interview he knows it.

If we go down, my weekends just won't be the same. I live in the US, so I can't get to Selhurst. Won't be able to watch Palace. I'll admit, that as much as anything is why I'm so desperate to see us stay up. If it helps, I will go to Selhurst Park next weekend and scream my lungs out for this side to stay up. Got to be done.

At least you don't have to watch it every week and waste loads of money! The home form is awful.

We had a very low turnout at city today and that's a far easier journey than Swansea to Sunderland

No point stressing over the Everton game. Unless Everton somehow miraculously manages to win it, nothing changes. All we have to do is avoid losing at home to Hull.

If we cannot do that and show up when it matters (unlike today), then frankly we've only got ourselves to blame.
A draw is better as they must then win the last two as opposed to needing a win and a draw (and us getting nada).

Easy to see why people have such high expectations of him IMO, and besides, any player can seem overrated if you talk to/listen to the kind of muppets who engage in overhyping players, so it's a bit of an empty word.
