He's had 3 games 343. But has referred to having two systems. 4231 being the other and one the players know. Wouldn't surprise me if at least half of this game was 4231. Can't really go into the season having not played a minute of one of our core formations. As things stand we have the players for 4231 more so than 343.

What we play will be an interesting indication of how fluid we will be this season or weather we will stick to 343 regardless.

Of course we could sign three players this week and everything changes

You need to buy one on line at the same time you buy you own and then amend the category to junior thereby making it zero cost. Not sure about buying on the day but I'm sure you will need an actual ticket with a seat number on it.

You want to incentivise pre-match sales because that helps plan things like staffing levels, catering etc.

Also makes the attendance less vulnerable to the weather, and shorter queues to purchase matchday tickets if most have bought in advance.

Wasn't that frozen pitch FA Cup game? I don't recall Irvine's goal as 'a screamer', and it was down at the White Horse, where we had a good view from that end of the old Arthur enclosure. We spent most of the game slugging brandy out of a hip flask and taking the piss out of Forest's twinkle-toed young midfielder Starbuck, who was having a 'mare. Proper football day out.

Wasn't that frozen pitch FA Cup game? I don't recall Irvine's goal as 'a screamer', and it was down at the White Horse, where we had a good view from that end of the old Arthur enclosure. Yep , proper football match played with an orange ball :p

I think it was at the Holmesdale End.... I was in the Whitehorse. Coldest I've ever been at a football match. I was probably wearing the wrong clothes for it, i expect. Black drainpipes and winkle pickers or some such nonsense.

Yes that's what I remember. He used to have a knack of cutting in from the wing and taking a shot from the corner of the penalty area, which is how I recall that goal (rightly or wrongly)

If you're about 7 it's a screamer, we scored tap ins.. remember the Arthur stamping in unison to keep warm..

Cheaper than there Real Madrid game!

Yep, they charged £60 for that despite Bournemouth having just been promoted from League One!

Imagine the scenes on here

Don't really understand and slightly peeved by them keeping the Arthur home section shut to be honest - they probably could've made more by selling more tickets at £15 or less, with a better atmosphere to boot too. Better value all round.

Really looking forward to this.
Be interested to see how Frank's gonna play it.
I've no interest in European clubs so does anyone know how strong these are?
My boy reckons they were half decent last season.
10th last season (out of 18.) Poor season by their standards, generally a top 6 team and the most well supported club in Germany besides Bayern and Dortmund, despite having not won a title since 1958.

The "foreign" contingent of Palace fans wish you all a great time!
As long as the internet connection doesn't crap out, we're with you all in spirit.

I'd rather be over there mate. After 5 minutes of every friendly I ever been to I've regretted it and wished I'd stayed in the pub.If it's pissing down before kick off today I might well do so:clown:

Don't usually look forward to friendlies but will be food to see De Boer at Selhurst. Will be interesting to see how we play, still think we need 3 or 4 players in.

Cheers mate. I remember my first match so clearly (v Forest, Alan Irvine scored a screamer, it was cold), I'm gutted their first matches have been friendlies but we are at a different level compared to when I first started going. Main thing is they are going!

I have the same desire. I too feel that it won't be easy. I shall abuse them the whole game though. It's my Brighton game today!

I've got a bloody massive Dortmund & Palace flag, but it's too big to hang at Selhurst. Got my anti04 scarf in my pocket.
