Pardew for Sunderland?

Perhaps leaving Everton doesn't seem such a good idea in retrospect.

Might indicate that he wasn't promised enough money for a promotion campaign.

He wasn't popular with their fans. I wonder if he is spent following his rough ride at ManU?

He should never have left the toffees. I wonder if Wilf made his daughter a member? 19%, that is.

I heard she whistles like blowing air over a bottle of beer on a windy day.

Chris Hughton, a good excuse to leave a shit club and he's also used to stadiums emptying out very early when his team are losing.

Got 99m for finishing last and parachute payments.

Funnily enough I think it's one for the Doog.

But is that enough to feed those kids?

And to think that on Feb 4th the Sunderland lot were singing "who needs Allardyce, when we've got David Moyes....." Gallows humour, presumably.

I actually thought he'd be a decent appointment for us after he got sacked by Man U!

Might just indicate that his managerial career is over

That's where I think he'll end up. Then maybe a championship club.

He would be a good appointment for an ambitious Championship club. Failing that, he could spend the next 6-7 readying himself for a relegation rescue job in Sussex

I don't think he would be. He has just failed in 3 jobs in a row and many managers would not even get that many chances.

When Moyes went to Manchester United I was surprised that he insisted on taking his own backroom staff with him. He also did the same in Spain where he, allegedly, made no effort to learn any Spanish. He strikes me as someone who is very sure of his own abilities and not open to ideas or to learning from other people.

He may be able to rebuild his reputation at a lower club. I have nothing against the man but I'm glad he didn't end up at Palace. (Which could easily have happened if Sam hadn't messed up the England job.)

True, but McLaren actually got a team to a European final and also managed a title in Holland. Moyes hasn't won feck all which made it all the more unbelievable Man Utd even considered a bloke without a single trophy on his CV

Deserves to be sacked after that 26th minute outrage yesterday.

I see he's been fined 30k by the FA for his comments last year.

I'm curious; what powers, legal or otherwise, do the FA have to enforce this? What's stopping Moyes simply ignoring the FA?
