Will be released by Man City this summer, always seemed a decent keeper. Big upgrade on Wayne anyhow. 35 years old so not our long term number one but could be useful for a couple of seasons.Thoughts?

We've got time to get someone better. Manager is a priority atm

He would be a very decent keeper at OUR level and very underated by many on here, obviously with City who are constantly looking for the best as they have the funds to accumulate the Best.
He would certainly be an upgrade on WH, as for being 35 and being too old according to some not so for a keeper, he seems far more agile and quick thinking than a lot of younger keepers, i have to say i would not be unhappy if we signed him and save around 10/15 m on a replacement, and use those funds to strengthen other areas.

I will be so disappointed if we end up replacing Hennessey with someone else who is error prone.

If we were to get Dyche and he could hring Heaton with him that would be just the ticket

I wonder if he's being confused with Bravo.
Citeh fans rate Caballero.

LMAO at those saying he is OK or Poor.

He was very much OK for City - for us he would be an excellent goalkeeper. Albeit an old one.

I'm not confused. He's better than Bravo, in the same way that pissing yourself is probably better than shitting yourself.

Man City's keepers have held them back for a couple of years now.

Are you arguing about the word "significantly" or the word "better".

The word 'significantly' which makes your statement somewhat ridiculous.

Would be a good addition, but at that age I just can't see it happening. Light years ahead of WH.

I hope he comes back to Malaga. He is a good keeper. Mate of Julian too.

Are you saying it should have a "very" in front of it, as in "Caballero is very significantly better than WH"?

Certainly worth an offer from us I feel. Good experience and like you say good keeper. Seeing as we need to rebuild quite a lot of the squad we should capitalise on any good free transfers knocking around and I feel this is one.

I do think Begovic is the steal at 10M though.

Makes you wonder. I watched him for 3-4 seasons at Malaga. Always dominated.

He is an excellent keeper even at 35, how on earth do some say say he is NOT good enough for Palace. For a start he would be an upgrade on Hennessey, and was available on a free which would have freed up money(probably around 10/15 m) for other areas to strengthen, what was there not to like?
