Good effort by the Huddersfield fans today travelling on the M1 loads of small flags flying from cars travelling South on the opposite side from me as I headed home to Lincoln. Next door neighbour is long term Huddersfield fan so will be cheering them on today.

Winning the championship playoffs to enter the premier league is the best feeling in football in my opinion.

Personally I think a chokey pokey bum wank beats it overall but in football terms you might be right. Saying that I imagine winning the FA Cup League Cup Premier League or Europa Cup or CL probably eclipses it.

Strange game now. It started well with Huddersfield looking sharp and pressing high. Grabban was looking sharp for Reading and I thought we were in for an interesting game. I was keen to watch this for transfer options and the two Managers. Stam adjusted Reading's positioning, pushing the midfield and forwards 5-10 yards further forward and Huddersfield followed them and have sat back. So Reading have tapped it between their defenders without any pressure but with little movement or ambition shown in front because they are outnumbered.

So disappointed so far:

Thoughts at HT - The gap between the Championship and Premier looks huge. They play the same shape, but pace, touch and inspiration is miles off. Mooy looks like a steady Eddie so far and not sure what the fuss is about from this performance. Napkin Wells has shown a burst of pace but pretty much disappeared afterwards. Couple of gutsy runners, Williams etc are having OK games but they will struggle in the Premiership. Danny Williams turns like an oil tanker and its surely screaming for someone to push onto him. The Reading wingbacks are very cautious so far and maybe negative is a better word. The CBs on both sides look a bit vulnerable to me. A flash of skill or pace will undo them. So expect deadlock to be broken by that, a Red card or if will go to pens.

You have to fear that both sides are looking not to lose in the 90 mins or at best try and nick one late on.

Re Mooy - he is very comfortable on the ball under pressure but looks very one paced (and it's not fast). I just expected him to have a lot more about him and a lot more creativity and taking the ball from the CBs but very little. Difficult to maintain form (such as it was !)

Either of these sides will do I reckon. They would both need to buy a huge number of players to compete.

Reading has chinese money so they can invest alot. Huddersfield could challenge Derby's PL record.

theres nowt on the other channels and in about half hour we can watch a penalty competition

At this rate penalties could take hours to resolve. First to score one wins? :)

They will struggle to put together 10 minutes of highlights as neither team has been able to string two passes together let alone create anything of note in the first 90 minutes.

With so much at stake you would expect them to want to win it for their fans who have paid good money to be subjected to this.
