Probably an on the beach game, but mildly significant will be the performance of our keepers, if they do well, Hart's time could be up

Of more significance will be pre match minute's silence

My point is, someone of the limited ability as dier in years gone by would be nowhere near, and I mean not even a consideration, to make an England squad, let alone seemingly appear to be a current regular. He's shit. We used to have lampard, gerrard and scholes battling out for 2 central midfield positions. Now we have Livermore, Henderson and dier. WTF. True, that's why I made sure to say "relatively" decent, as he isn't really decent, but he's still one of the best English midfielders. Last man is not and was never a thing.

Clear goal scoring opportunity is a thing.

Denying a clear goal scoring opportunity is no longer a red card offence if it was an accident or a genuine attempt to play the ball.

It was clearly an accidental clip. It was a penalty, but never a red card. Mixed use of the VAR.

Played that great for the first ten minutes. Even looked classy almost Italian style up to the halfway line and then it stops and the lack of a stylish midfield playmaker becomes apparent. The ball invariably gets passed back to the full back or the keeper and a hopeful punt upfield happens immediately losing possession.

Failure to beat Scotland said a lot, then unable to beat 10 man France literally for the whole of the Second Half, and infact looked the inferior team by a long way.
When is Gareth "S" going to realise the importance of getting the "heart" of his Midfield right and having Dier (especially) is NOT the answer at this level is a recipe for disaster as we saw especially against Scotland. We have many quality midfielders Gareth can choose from in the premiership, its picking the right combination is the key which he needs to get right, as France showed getting a fluid passing unit in midfield is crucial at this level, instead of focusing on having a "destroyer" in there as more important as we tend to do.
Then his putting on Walker to play at LB, even with Cresswell sitting on the bench but then realising his error and reverting back to common sense approach, surely it did not need to happen in the first place.
We have many quality young players coming through to call on to make us difficult to beat in the future, players like Butland, Walker, Rose, Stones, Alli, Lalana, Sterling and Kane, also One or Two others like Wiltshire who when fully fit is quality, but to see the best of them we need to get the system right along along with taking the shackles off into giving players the freedom to express themselves better, which is all down to the Manager.

What have England got against crossing ?

Exactly.

And it's the angle of the cross that is vital. Crossing from half way in the half is MUCH easier to defend, with defenders facing the ball. Attack along the flanks, get behind them, pull the ball back puts them under much more pressure; the momentum is with the attackers. It's not rocket science, just wing-play, and I'm not a qualified coach. Wilf does it well. Oh..........
