ex Newcastle firebrand, attacking midfielder or winger available from PSG

French international, bad boy, but at 30 capable and may not be out of the question fee/wages wise..

Worth a look?

Not for me now. Seem to remember he had some stunning stats not long ago for assists though. Not checked but think that was right.

Absolutely no chance, left Newcastle and then turned himself into one of the best performing midfielders in Europe the next season.

Then went to PSG and was rubbish.

Under the right manager he is brilliant but if not he is a hugely disruptive person.

He is a massively talented player but troubled, he has been at huge clubs but just can't seem to settle, imagine leaving PSG to join Palace?
If there is a club and manager capable of getting the best out of him then it can only be Arsenal and Wenger.

Not so much the right manager, but the right team. He needs to be the superstar of the team, which is what he was then at Nice before his move to PSG. Not 100% sure we are the right team for him, but is still a good player nonetheless.

You mean a bit like Cabaye

When Ben Arfa along with Cabaye were in the Newcastle team they were a joy to watch. Sadly old father time is catching up with one, and the other needs to see a shrink.

"king Arfa has the Excalibur to shine at the Palace and fire them up the (round) table. Fans hoping for more glory knights at Selhurst"

Etc

Sorry, he wasn't rubbish at PSG.
The Qatari owners signed him, and then they got a new coach, "D*ck" Emery. Emery didn't like so didn't play him, and when he did, he brought him on for Cavelli, but he's anything but a CF!
When he went to Nice 2 years ago, he was brilliant under Puel. He's still got a lot to prove and he's no longer the Billy Big Bollox he used to be.
But still, what a waste of a career! As a teenager at Lyon, he was a lot better than Benzema.
We're the sort of club where he would thrive with a coach who could tell him the right things. PSG probably wouldn't ask for very much, they will just want him off their books. Obviously he'd be on silly wages, but he'd be brilliant playing just behind Benteke!

Under a strong manager he'd be a real asset.

I think at PSG he hardly played anyway, he was basically backup.

Almost like there isn't anyone in the squad who has already made the move that might be able to help him...

Edit: beaten to it!
