Would be a great addition as a squad player, loads of experience, looks like a rock every time I see him at Selhurst. Fee would be tiny also.
West Brom interested too.

Agree, too much in wages and we have enough old bodies in midfield. Would suit FDB's style though.

He can't command those kind of wages anymore.

He can't command those kind of wages anymore.

He's not on close to that at Everton. More like 60k. 12 months left on his contract. He's already 36.

It all feels a bit Glenn Murray to Bournemouth, he'd get an extra year if he moves. That said he played a lot for Everton this year so unless he's been told he's going to play a lot less he's only going to move for the extra year.

Couple of years ago this made sense but not now,

Surely he should head to Brighton, and can finally make his first senior appearance 20 odd years after leaving for a better career

Slow and painfully so. My idea of hell.

This.

A great player in the past, and I admit I have no knowledge of how age has caught up with him, but this is more the sort of signing suited to a team newly promoted and needing to add Premier league experience to their squad.

The last two seasons he's come to palace and shown us how to run a midfield.
Always impressed me. At 36 I certainly don't think he's he future but for a season?!

People cant get over the concept of loaning a youth for one season, and that might be with a view to buy, good luck trying to sway them on this :D

Thought idea was to get average age of the squad down...not put it up!

Fairly sure he's well past his best now and would also be on a big wage. Not for me.

It would be a legendary return for him in a similar vein with Rooney to Everton :D

Not for me. He might have a lot of experience in terms of age and appearances but Palace have that already. Gives far to many free kicks away (Hennessy doesn't need the practice on matchdays from anywhere around 20-25m) and collects yellow cards for fun!
We need to bring down the age of the squad not increase it!

I'd sign him . Only because he is a player who's name I can actually pronounce .

He's never been quick so I don't think his lack of pace is a problem. He's a very good player that does smiple things well and I'm sure he coudl do a decent job and many clubs, but I think the chances of us signing him are zero.

As an aside only Ryan Giggs (632) has made more premier league appearances than Barry (628). The next three players with the most appearances, who are still playing in the PL are Michael Carrick (479), Jermaine Defoe (468) and Wayne Rooney (460).

With Everton in the Europa league they need a fairly big squad. They could end up playing close to 60 games this season. I'd imagine Barry would be a useful player for them to have.
