The ACN could be moving to the summer months. Good news for Palace and other clubs.

Good. I remember when AP was asked by an African journalist during a PC if it was a problem and he said "no, not really" (or words to that effect), that's not to have a pop at him, but that was a wasted opportunity imo. It is a problem when you lose players half way through the season, often by that point the injuries are stacking up and they are knackered or injured when they get back. Makes sense to move it, for us anyway.

No idea on temperatures etc but there is obviously a reason why it's not played in the two hottest months of the year normally.

I think it actually is played in the hottest two months of the year in Africa, Jan/Feb.
(Southern Hemisphere)

Yep, in Uganda at the moment and it's rainy season. Temperatures are mid 20's and are pretty constant, so moving it to the summer would probably be better (temperature wise).

In Uganda.

In North Africa it is ludicrously hot right now.

Can't help thinking agents and corrupt officials are behind this as it will increase sales of African players to European sides.

They should leave it in the winter, but it should only be once every 4 years.

African player values just went up at least 20%

So they'll miss the start of the season instead... It's slightly better by not much.
