All we are missing for South London and proud is a Jamaican player to bring SE25 together.

MLS is league one standard at best. I can't see him being ready for the EPL, certainly not right away, which is what we need in goal. We need to stop ****** about and sign a genuine quality goalkeeper, and yes to do that might might involve spending north of 15m quid, but it's such a vital position that it'd be utterly detrimental not to. Especially when all we have are Henessey and Speroni. An error prone Championship level keeper, and a 38 year old that's not played regular first team games for best part of two years. Begovic would have been perfect for us, yet went to a league rival for 10m. Typical palace, frankly.

MLS player of the year 2016 also was number one draft pick first time in MLS history a goal keeper has done this

Been watching him for a while and he has no obvious weaknesses. Agile good shot stopper commands his area good with his feet can catch with good distribution. Excellent communicator marshalls defence extremely well. What's not to like. Oh hes also young experienced international with sell on possibilities wont cost the earth either

He cannot be any more of a signing risk, than we've already taken on Wayne 'flying elephant' Hennessey or Steeeeeeve 'Homesick' Mandanda? I would imagine that he doesn't have a circa 60m release fee either?

He looks like the real deal. Forget about the risks and think about uncovering the rough diamonds, ie the Mahrez', Vardey's, Kante's etc.

A very good GK whom I can be certain would welcome any interest from the Premier League. With some tweaking he could become 1st choice in the mid future

Pity the MLS is in full swing as this type of player we would enquire about him coming over for a trial with an agreed fee in place if we wanted to buy.

The fact that's he's had zero experience of English football, and has played his professional career in a league which is league one standard at best. Sounds like a good 2nd keeper with a view to next few years, but to come in and be a clear number 1 (which is what we need IMHO), can't see it.

Semi interesting fact - He made his debut for the Philadelphia Union against us in the friendly match in 2014.

Me too. At worst he would become the number 2 though, even if we had to move Hennessey on or loan one keeper out as a result. Would be a risk but what isn't.

I would not rule him out just because he plays in the MLS. He seems to be a real talent. Injured last night unfortunately.

Interesting. Wonder if we'll beat them to him in January.

Is he a goalkeeper? Yes.
Is his name Wayne Hennessey? No

Get him in.

It appears Blake can't get his papers in order to secure a transfer, something to do with Jamaica not having a FIFA ranking in the Top 50. I'm admitting complete ignorance when I say that I have no clue what the hell that means and why that's relevant. It's also affecting Kemar Lawrence from the NY Red Bulls, who's also received some European interest.
