Someone at Leeds has a sense of humour.

Leeds supporting colleague says his goal tally flattered him massively and scored a fair few pens. Doesn't believe he has anywhere near ability to make it in PL

Nobody is going to pay 20M for Chris Wood, be more likely another champ team buys him for 15M imo

5 pens last season out of 27 goals........think your colleague needs to check his stats. He's only scored 8 pens in his career

I might be wrong but didn't get the impression that he was anything close to Premier level. Bit of a crowd favourite now having had a good season and he is a battler but don't think he has the touch etc. to succeed any higher.
powerful shot with left or right.

He has a 1 in 3 record nearly all outside the prem. Leicester let him go for less than 3m just 2 seasons ago. 10m at best for him, simply because the transfer market is way overpriced.

One of those strikers who will succeed in the Championship but not in the PL i think. 25 so maybe it has just taken some time but not worth the gamble at 20m.

20m is hilarious. Not for any club who was stupid to pay anywhere near that, obviously.

& people scoffed when Colin made a transfer deadline day move for him (rumoured at 3m at the time)

I don't think he is worth anywhere near 20m. But surprised at the amount of criticism. He strikes me very much as a striker in the Glenn Murray sort of mould and given how many people STILL moan that we sold him I am surprised there are not more people clamouring for us to be in for Wood to be honest.

Similar from my Bro-in-law (Leeds season ticket holder). Jansson was the only player they would have been gutted to lose.

Would be very fortunate trying to attract him as 3rd choice striker as he is a centre focus. If we morph into 3-4-3 without attacking wingers then we need a Walcott type forward capable of going inside or out.
Ain't easy to find.

No from me and I am a kiwi. He's not prem level.

Better than Frazer Campbell, not as good as Dwight Gayle, so why would we be interested?

I remember him looking okay at Brum and Millwall and thinking maybe there is a player there and it all kinda not working out at Leicester.

But if Chris Wood gets sold for anything approaching 20m football that's English football jumping the shark.

He'd be a better no2 striker than Wickham. Great if we could do a swap deal but Wickham is injured again and they surely can't afford his 60k weekly wages or want to.

Otherwise he will cost a lot for a backup

Rather keep Connor Wickham as our back up physical striker than pay 20m for him.

Younger than Gayle and is the type of striker we tend to play with

Someone's offered 16 million, and it's not Burnley who was linked to him.

Nahhhh as someone said we need a Walcott type a better version of fraser basically. That's what our system needs.

41 goals in 81 games in a pretty average Leeds team. I wouldn't be completely against this.

Although I always thought Rhodes would be a really good Premier League signing...

When fit, Wickham is a lot better. I'd rather not waste loads on a championship striker.

Key words there is sadly when fit, I agree CW is a quality back up but doubt we'll see him this season as still long way back to full fitness then needs to get match fit etc.
