It all kicks off this weekend, the extra-preliminary round of the 2018 FA Cup. I'll be watching my stepson playing for Horley Town v Raynes Park Vale. Loads of sides involved this weekend, basically all entered sides below Ryman League level.

What really did happen to the money they got from the sale of the Defence? Such a shame.

I had a very vivid dream last night that I was at Wembley, and Palace were 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go in the FA Cup Final...

Last time I had as vivid a dream about the FA Cup was in January 1990. When I took my seat at Wembley for the first game in 90 I was sitting exactly where I had been in the dream in January.

The last 10 minutes are usually the problem! :sob:

My plan the next time we get to the final is if we are winning with ten minutes to go, I'll just get up and leave and never look at a football result again safe in the knowledge that Palace have finally won the FA Cup. Next time.

Went to see Biggleswade United play neighbouring town, Potton United, in the cup last night which finished 0-0. I don't plan to go to the replay.

Lingfield sadly went out last night, a 2-0 defeat to Crowborough at Maidstone. Great performance against a team from a higher league, a disputed goal and another in the 92nd minute. Always next year...

What's the situation with Crowborough and their ground. Is it being rebuilt or have they lost it like another similar sized Sussex club did in the past?

Lingfield Eagle

Yep, they are having a 3g pitch laid and are ground sharing until it's ready

Good game, best team won on the day, late red card for Bradford, referee sent off a player who swore at him. And 2.50 a pint from the club house. Top entertainment.

I'm assuming the FA Cup at this stage is pretty much regionalised?

It's going to be tough for us coming off back-to-back defeats. We'll be prepared though. My table is covered in tactical and set piece plans at the moment!

Truro City became the first team from Cornwall since 1969 to reach the First Round proper, drawn away to Charlton. Good luck Truro. Sutton United are away at Cambridge, while Dartford entertain Swindon Town amongst the other ties.
