Brentford away for one last trip to Griffin Park before the new stadium opens next season. Failing that Millwall at home or away. 3rd choice would be Carlisle... any true Palace fan who loves an awayday knows that one is the holy grail, although 3rd round of the F.A. Cup would be preferred.

I cant be arsed with Charlton, we've had our fun there. Theres always a sour atmosphere from their lot which isnt even like a tense big match derby atmosphere to be savored, ala Millwall or Brighton, Just a nasty form of pure hatred. Therefore for all i care they can stay down in league 1 rotting as a nothing club for the rest of time. Their smugness back fired and farted in their face tenfold, lets just leave them squirming.

Purepalace

I like the fact that it is regional in the earlier rounds. I never enjoyed travelling the entire country on a Wednesday night for what seems like a training game.

I think this system they're using is fair because it's a random draw.

The problem was the presenter and Salako confusing what the red and white balls meant. They should have printed an H on the red balls for home and an A on the white balls...then even these guys should get it right.

Seeds in one bowl, non-seeds in the other. Take turns to draw first. Easy.

The thing is the draw would have been fair as it was, but they needed to put the home/away balls back in the bowl after each draw so it stayed a 50/50 split

As each draw was made the chances of home or away draw narrowed for the later teams, so it was uneven and unfair

Total lash up :D

Thats the problem, the simpler the idea, the bigger the headache for the Palace marketing/Ticket sales team.

Ive never understood why we dont do this for the nothing games. High ticket price = low sales and nothing gained. So why not low ticket price = high sales and more money in the coughers?

Do the right thing Palace.

These games just need to generate extra interest and fans in the club. Sell tickets to st holders and members first, give away whatever is left in the arthur to schools (kid plus accompanying parent) and put the rest on general sale.

Adults £10 and children for a £1 or free with an adult ticket.

If they want to speed up some sales, do something for 16-20 year olds. (Who will buy sooner than a 6 year old)

Guaranteed when the pricing comes out it'll be a joke. The adult price needs to start with a 1 not a 2, otherwise it's 8-10k fans there, rather than 20k

The teams were in 2 pots, one had the seeded teams whilst the other had the unseeded teams, so there needed to be an extra element to determine which team would be at home.

The schools are on holiday, so no staff in to organise an unexpected distribution to pupils during August.

This.
If season ticket holders could pick up an extra ticket at £5 to bring a friend that would boost numbers as well.
I've never understood the logic of overpricing these games giving it such a dull atmosphere instead of getting bums in seats. Money will still be spent on burgers, scarves, pies etc.
I bet the players would rather play for 14-15.000 than 6-7.000 be they kids or not.

It's time to have these early rounds included in the ST prices, unfortunately all the PL clubs are very greedy (as are the players)

8000 turning up paying about £15 each equates to 1 week of Bentekes wages.
