Should add this is no more than gossip from a German work contact, but apparently Liverpool, Southampton and us sniffing around Max Kruse from Werder Bremen. 18 Million Euros the rumoured fee Werder are looking for.

Sniffing around a transfer dustbin is what we are good at

I doubt we even have the funds for Max Wall - unless he's available on loan from Highgate Cemetery FC.

That'd rule us out immediately then.

Very much a no.10

Not great in the air eg as a Benteke replacement should he be injured - but more of a creative 'in the hole' type player.

Likely to score maybe 10 a season but have the same number if not more of assists.....

Mind you does the 3-4-3 system have room for a no.10??

Yes. We have zero creativity behind Benteke other than wilf..

Play as one of the wider Forwards? They need the ability to score and create.

This. I like him. Creative player with an eye for goal. I'm sure we could bash that out of him, though. I can see him in a front three.

Suspect if he does leave Werder, and the rumours may have legs as he's been pretty vocal about how frustrated he is there, it will be to someone bigger than us.

But he wouldn't be sure to play at Liverpool would he with Mane, Firmino, Sturridge, Lallana etc etc and he wouldn't fit Southamptons recruitment model. So who knows, we might be the best that is actually in for him.

Ah ok, fair enough, although now a month old so maybe it was just paper talk?

Maybe. I haven't seen much of him so maybe our German based fans could give more of an insight but I think he's pretty good and would be a quality addition

Can you resign a player in the same window they left the club?

Took a closer look at this guy and he looks like the sort of player that could play up front either side of Benteke.
