Quite likely given injuries and the opposition.

Do we sack him then too?

Yep, it's the new Palace. Instant success or get out. Just ignore the fact the squad is threadbare on quality.

Play a formation that suits what we've got and points will come, despite what manager is in charge.

If Roy is in for training tomorrow i would be pretty hopefully of a positive result on Saturday.

Mind you he might have Sakho and RLC at his disposal which would help too.

I suggest we do what HIGNFY did after they sacked Angus Deayton, and just get a guest manager in for each game.

It's not just the loss of 4 games, it's the manner of the 4 games something was very wrong. All the goals we conceded were very weak, and we had no threat upfront.

Angus Deayton would be a great guest manager if we had Mark Bosnich, Wayne Rooney, Mutu playing and David Pleat on the coaching team. Win lose or draw they would have a great time.

Pleat can drive while Rooney gives directions, Bosnich and Mutu can bring the stuff and Deayton in the boot waiting to be unleashed.

A bunch of thicko's who don't understand the concept of passing to each other, not just hoofing away, and know what a decent cross looks like?..And where the effing goal is. (and don't lean back when you shoot!)

Not very... there are only 20 Premiership teams so 20/1 is standard. If Roy or whoever it is is shit then we will sack him too. We are not in the game of providing a training ground for millionaire arseholes who talk the talk but can't do the fricking job.

They talk alright, straight to the chairmen according to reports.

De Boer wasn't sacked for results it was everything surrounding it. If Hodgson loses the next 4 which is quite possible, although I'm very upbeat about Saturday, then assuming he isn't an arse like FdB then he'll be fine until end of the season.

I suggest we do what HIGNFY did after they sacked Angus Deayton, and just get a guest manager in for each game.

I was going to harp on about longer-term managers having success,...Alex Ferguson, Arsene wenger, etc, of which there are plenty of examples in the PL and old 1st Division.
However, I read an article (I think in The Observer) which said that maybe continual change was also good. There are also examples of clubs splashing the cash, like noocastle with Keegan, Blackburn with Dalglish, Citeh, Chelski etc, etc.

Maybe I've been wrong about wanting stability and progression. Maybe a regular change of Manager would be good :)
Remember our promotion season 2003/4 when we had Kember, then Symons (sp?) before Dowie took over and took us up.

Welcome to the disposable society :lux:
At least Roy is only on a 2 year contract, though it is almost inevitable we lose the next 4.

RisZero
13-09-2017, 09:30 AM
I think he will be given more time as 3 of the first 4 games for him on paper are ones we wouldnt expect to win. I half expect that is why Parish pulled the trigger now, to give Roy a period of no-expectations to get things right before must-win games.
