According to Sky Sports, the former England manager has told them himself that he is nearing an agreement to take the reins at Selhurst Park, but a deal is not yet finalised.

What's he's going to spend his cash on other than comfy slippers and man nappies?

So Dougie hasn't even been considered for the role? Not sure what exactly Freedman's role is now de Boer's gone. Roy Hodgson has enough experience within the game so I hardly feel that Dougie's input would be needed or welcomed.

He'll be Roys replacement

I'm guessing he's here for a reason. I could understand him coming in to support de Boer in finding players that de Boer may not be aware of. But what on earth can Freedman help Hodgson with.

We'll probably need a 'Who'll replace Roy' thread, probably due to start after this year's Christmas dinner. Not that I'm pessimistic.

If Freedman ever returns as manager I really know that the club has lost it. Roy will sign by tomorrow. Would have made sense to have Lee around for a while

Just remember the view expressed by Jim Cannon at the friendly just before the season started, clearly saw FDB as the wrong fit for us and hinted he would not last long. Wonder what his view will be on Roy?
