Why didn't we do that.

I know, right.

My neighbour wanted to take his wife, father and two kids (9 and 11) to the cup game against Huddersfield, but decided that the total cost of £35 was too steep.

He's decided to take them all to this game instead. It's a bargain for him at £42.

It would be nice if the Box Office made it as convenient as possible for fans by just allowing 10 per member from the start but they insist on sticking to their system for every game. If you want to buy two tickets against one season ticket then you'll have to wait till Tuesday 3rd October.

Why is there any need for phasing at all? They should immediately allow all members and season ticket holders to buy as many as they want. In fact, they should probably put it on general sale. The chief executive needs to make things simpler for the fans not introduce cumbersome ticket buying procedures that make it difficult for supporters with different numbers of points or family members to buy together.

I don't think our fitness is good enough, too many changes of managers and backroom staff along with a poorly arranged pre season have contributed to that. We need a fit team for West Ham next week. Good use of substitutions will be needed, but after yesterday I'm not sure RH is capable of it.

Carabao Cup fourth round tie with Crystal Palace.

A crowd of 18,000-plus is guaranteed for the fixture, with tickets remaining on general sale.

To cope with increasing demand, a selection of seats have been made available in the top tier of the Lansdown Stand, given only single seats or wing seats remain in the lower bowl.

Called box office no more for sale after 3.30pm today. Bizarre to stop selling tickets 30 hours before kick off. Looking like home end ,then ask for transfer.

Staying near Chippenham tonight, on to Bradford on Avon tomorrow for a walk along the canal to a pub on the banks of the River Avon for lunch and local cider, then into Bath for retail therapy for the wife before heading to the match where I will use all my positive vibes to hopefully see us win.

We will of course lose 3-0.

Oh well.

Anyone know of anywhere near the ground where you can park?

Opposite the stadium there's a VW garage. I've always parked in there.

Hmm, on balance i'd say it was you having the dramatic hissy fits. A column saying 'fixtures' then not showing them all is kind of lying and a bit shit (imo).

No, just calling out moronic posters like you as usual on here.

ĎLying and a bit shití? Really? It was an error on a messageboard. It probably wasnít done maliciously to offend you. Are you offended by everything so easily in life?

Perhaps you can start a bbs with correct up to date fixtures yourself instead?

Hi Eagles, City fan here.
If you're driving down, I would suggest either arriving early or using the previously mentioned Bedminster cricket club. We've had a fair few resident only zones put in around the stadium now and parking is becoming an issue. If you've got the time and go around the M4 /M5 / A4 route (I would to avoid going through the city), there's a park and ride system in operation for our home games costing just £4 for adults and free for under 16's which drops right outside the stadium and picks up from the same place afterwards. The P and R is on the A4, as you come under the M5 motorway, it's on the right hand side. You can't miss it.
I'm sure you're aware that the Gate is a much changed stadium since your last visit and, if you're early, we usually have a fans village running with live bands etc in the South stand / Lansdown stand (the bloody big new stand) corner. Home and away fans mingle there with no issues.
Any questions, feel free to ask.

Very helpful.

What time do you think we'll need to arrive at Bedminster CC by to get a place in the car park? And is there still a car park in the industrial estate on Ashton Vale Road?

Ciderup

Hi Sherstonpalace. Parking on the estate off Ashton road is still available although slightly limited and, if it's the small one I'm thinking of off Ashton rd, it does get locked.
If you're thinking of the larger estate off Winterstoke road (bigger road behind the old shared / home / away end), don't bother. There is a dirty great bridge being built for the Bristol metrobus and it's causing chaos. It is an impressive structure though.
Access to Bedminster cricket club won't be an issue at any time, most visitors use it now TBH and it's literally 5 minutes away, has a nice bar and does grub if you want a snack.
Avoid Winterstoke road though, it's a bit of a mess at the mo.

Maybe I will. I'll call it 'Some Fixtures' and miss out a few league ones for balance. Not sure why you feel the need to get personal with me, it's your choice of course though. I guess it's because you didn't like being called out for being a Parish-hating feckwit and thought you had spied some pedantry to take issue about in return. Who knows? Quite hoping we make it all the way to the final now so that it becomes more and more awkward for you to deny that domestic cup competitions exist, and actually matter to some of us.

I'd normally be all over this as my wife's uncles are City season ticket holders, but a 9 week old baby is stopping the fun this time. ESPN it is then, although Live Soccer TV are using an interesting logo for us!

Thanks Ciderup. So if we come down the A369 from the M5 and arrive by 7pm we should be fine for a spot at the Bedminster CC?

Iím happy to be called out over my views on here. It would be nice if sycophantic clowns like you were actually capable of a grown up discussion. But there you go.

But youíre changing the subject as this was about you attacking this board because they missed a few fixtures off....by accident!

Incidentally, Iím just on my way to Bristol now for the match so I very much hope we get to Wembley. The competition very much exists, at no point did I say otherwise you weirdo.

Wow, never been called sycophantic before, feel quite honoured to be regarded so conformist for once. Although asking politely if the cup fixtures can be added to the list of fixtures is hardly 'attacking this board', just to correct you there. Eddie explained that they were aware of it and were looking at it, which is fine. Maybe you have issues when people like Eddie or Steve P provide explanations for situations which arent perfect, but i don't. I accept it and move on. I advise you to do the same. Well done for attending the match by the way. My allowed quota from scotland in the next few weeks is west ham and brighton away. Both league matches sadly, but better than nothing.

The EFL and Twitter would like to apologise for the delay in the #CarabaoCup live stream. Normal service to be resumed within the hour

Looking at the other 7 teams left in which are all Premier League, glad we were knocked out. We were never going to win and it would have been a distraction we didn't need
