In essence, Bubbs has caught the Palace Spirit here, which for me is about never taking things too seriously - it's the kind of attitude I saw in the 1973/74 season when we were on a dreadful run at the start of that season too - but the fans kept turning up and laughing through the bad results - it's what made me become a Palace fan and this is still with many of us five decades on - I would love to see a retro Palace minute with characters like Bert Head, Ray Bloye, Big Mal etc !

Thanks Bubbs - what a great bit of work, a true beacon of light in a gloomy time.

The scene at the beginning with De Boer selling the footballing dream to Parish with 'Time of the Season' playing in the background along with "who's your daddy?" echoing along is absolutely superb. All of it is amazing, but that part was genius for sheer imagination, as well as the crocodile lake in the Holmesdale.

Its not the main thing, no one has said it is, but quite frankly if he does, he is taking it in the spirit it was intended.

BUBBS11 is not trying to make some kind of political point here.

We all need a laugh at the moment, and that includes SP (probably more than anyone else just now), so lets enjoy the light hearted humour without trying to make it something it is not.
