They seem to be doing their best to be worse than Palace. No investment in the team, signing lower grade players with the hope they come good, and owner who seems to have been losing interest....at least Palace have more points.

Hoping for a Spurs goal and extra time for the likes of Noble, Ayew, Ogbomna, Lanzini etc. Sadly I can’t see it happening...

I’m hoping (straw grasping) that this is their reaction to the ripping they took against Brighton on Friday, and they will revert to type for Saturday. On the contrary, we are due our “bounce” from last night, so all good.

Coupled with it being close to a Spammers first team, and with only two days’ rest, there really are no excuses come 4.50pm on Saturday!

Not the worst thing in the world for us that the Hammers won tonight. I was hating the prospect of facing a beleagured team and manager with all the pre match talk about how bad things are going for them and it could be the manager's last game out of the way. You just know we would be the victims of their 'reaction'. At least now they have got that out of the way.

Bilic said "Wins give you energy and they give you freshness. Now tomorrow at training there will be no long faces, nobody’s going to feel tired because of the fact of this result, especially in such a good game".

Am I paranoid, or does it seem like everything is a massive conspiracy against us this season? :) Let's hope they're tired and complacent and we blow them away!

I didn't even wake up for this game. Not that bothered about the League Cup* but it's a shame to throw the game - indeed any game - away like that.

* until the Semi Final stage when the A players come back into it.

Thinking of buying a house in Tottenham. Nothing too flash just a 2 up 3 down

Apparently, according to BBC text (story in the Sun - I haven't seen it), Man City and Arsenal may be forced to replay their ties for "making too many substitutions in extra time".

What is that all about? What sort of incompetent officials allow that?? Has Graham Poll come out of retirement???

If it is true, simple. Just expel them from the competition.

The rules changed that you could bring on one additional substitute in extra time, not like The Sun to make up a story without any facts.

OK - thanks for that. BBC got it wrong as well. Just reporting the report. I didn't realise the change either - how new is it?

Is this the society that we now live in?

Any rational person would think thus...

'We cant get the twitter stream to run'

'We still cant get the twitter stream to run'

'Sod twitter, we are going with the draw.'

'who fecked up over twitter, here is your p45'

Who cares about twitter?

It is sad that the world has come to this.

That feels massively rigged, all the top sides at home except ManUre who get the worst team left away.

I called it when they got Burton in their first game - a draw only on twitter at 4am in Bangkok or somewhere!
In this case it clearly took a few goes until they got the draw they wanted.:wallbash: hence the delay

Not at all. We got 3 favourable draws so no beef against Palace. It's just beyond fishy now, all the 'technical issues' every time , then lo and behold a great draw for Man Utd again!

It's a shame Tottenham are out. I thought it was quite refreshing that their fans were despatching pints of fizzy piss to the away fans in their seats.

And it is too much now re: Man Utd. The fixes are just too obvious.

In this draw, there were 4 “big clubs” - Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City and Man U. The statistical probability (or odds or chances if you prefer) of ALL 4 of these big clubs avoiding each other in the draw and therefore ALL 4 being drawn against a “smaller” club are the same as a roulette wheel producing the following pattern for 8 consecutive spins: Red Black Red Black Red Black Red Black, which is 5.6% or about 1 in 40. And when that 1 in 40 draw takes place, it isn’t actually broadcast live!

In addition to all 4 big clubs being drawn apart, the probability that 3 of them ALSO get Home draws reduces this 5.6% considerably more.

Conspiracy theory? Maybe. Coincidental? Possibly. Unlikely? Extremely.

You may well have a valid point here, Peter.
