All games are live on Optus down there. Find a friend who has it and borrow one of their log ins and you can stream through the app.

Everyone says the streaming service is crap from Optus. I get a better picture *elsewhere*.

West Ham v Liverpool starts at 3.30am but they choose one game per week to show on SBS, kinda like BBC, and it's either the early game or one of the 3pms. Of all the games today, the later one is the game i'd prefer.. have to see whether I can stay awake until then.

Never had a problem with the Optus app myself but might just have been lucky. Then again, anything would be an improvement on listening to radio commentary of the play-off final vs West Ham via Skype on dial up!

watching Stoke v Leicester is a good way to remind you of a few things

1) our build up play is better than our rivals (we can actually string a few passes together)
2) most of the 'best league in the world' is a load of old shite
3) shame Gray never came to us, he's a proper Palace player
4) the technical and tactical ability of the mid table teams is shocking

we'll be ok I think lads

It's nice when the pubs open through the night to show the games for the fan groups :lux: Spurs vs RM this week was a 5.45am kick off here and the pub they went to was open and serving. The nearest pub to me said they were serving through til 3am for the opening game of the season.

RB Leipzig v Hannover is a great, competitive game with lots of effective pressing and good football. Worth finding a stream if you can't be arsed with the boring 3pm EPL games but still want to watch something. Better atmosphere than any English game and this is at the German MK Dons.

Yep. Imagine if we had got the other Pulis top target as well Gylfi Sigurdsson. Those two wingers and his set pieces with Crouch’s head.

I always get stick for this but in open play I don't think Siggy is that impressive. Would be called a luxury player if not for his set pieces. Needs a lot of players making good runs around him in behind the defence to get good numbers

a terrible decision from the board, especially given the lengthy recruitment process.

Hardly heard any discontent when we appointed him, in fact, quite the opposite. The board took a calculated risk. Unless you're getting a proven manager at this level ala Allardyce or Pulis, then you are never going to know how he'll be until the games start. The great thing is the board were brave enough to change things as soon as they realised their mistake.

People harp on about Dyche in hindsight like it was a no brainier, but nobody really knows how he'd be away from Burnley. This is a manager that has a relegation under his belt in very recent years remember.

At least Swansea are shit. Stoke I can see getting dragged into it. One win doesn't make Bournemouth world beaters suddenly. Newcastle are a championship team with a world class manager organising them so there's always a chance they could slip. The weed look like they are doing what we did under Pulis to safety unless the goals dry up (apparently today's was a gift?). Saints are devoid of creativity but should have enough. West Ham will be fine, they can always sack Bilic if needed. WBA are a good shout this season imo though maybe Pulis will get them out of their shit form eventually. Huddersfield will be ok.

With the even nature of the bottom half already becoming apparent this season, by March/April time there will be about 6 to 8 clubs in the relegation mix (of which we will be one)

Anything can then happen in the bun fight free-for-all that will ensue. Can definitely envisage some sort of 4 to 5 club "Survival Sunday" occurring this year.

The three that go down won't be much worse than the next half dozen that stay up.

You could make any manager look an idiot or a genius in one game. The fact that he got pretty much the same points per game ratio with that team as we did under Allardyce was nothing short of remarkable.Imagine us having a 17 year old first choice left back,a squad of 13 players(some would argue we do)losing Cabaye and Zaha last year, not signing Sakho or Luka and still staying up.It would have been impossible.

Love that the seats are white so that it's glaringly obvious that three quarters of the stadium is empty

Bilic wont survive that.

Agree about the seats, wonder if Bilic will come on and applaud all 4 empty ends ina symbolic final gesture at the end?

In an ideal world now:
Bilic sacked
Pulis sacked
Clement sacked
Dyche quits for Everton

All of a sudden 4 clubs needing managers at the same time

Who would want to manage the Whelks? The Hammers have had their heart ripped out.

18 months ago a west ham fan told me the aim would be to crack the top 4 once they moved grounds

Good question - poor team selection first half - keeper in inspired form

Win tomorrow and it gets us close to the pack. It looks like most of the poorer teams are playing the Pulis way nicking games 1-0 or losing 1-0 not good to watch long term for their fans.

I really don’t understand why we didn’t go all in for Silva - it was obvious he knew what he was doing prooving it in the prem.

Was nailed on to go to Watford before Sam had left. Possibly even before Hull were down.

Against Spurs?

Let's accept we will lose, anything else is a bonus.

Our battle starts in 2 weeks time against Everton.

Our battle starts every game. Spurs are not unbeatable just like Chelsea were not.

I've heard this too, surely not. That'll be them down and out in my eyes. I hope it's true myself.

Should have been appointed instead of Pardew.
