Yeah that's what they told me last week, awaiting a response from the box office tomorrow from an email I sent today.
I happened to be in the box office this morning and the I got told that they're not going on general sale. You have to be a member or season ticket holder to buy tickets right up to the day of the game, when no tickets will be on sale.
I've just read dodger's mail on the other home ticket thread and it says that they're on sale to non-members on Monday (14th). Is there a way you can sell tickets to non-members but not have them on general sale?

I just booked my tickets even though i'm not a member. Basically I sent an email to the club outlining why i'm not a member (the fact i've lived in Sheffield for 3 years) and asked them to check-out my previous bookings which they have on file - away games to Grimsby, Stockport, Man City, Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed, Barnsley, Rotherham. They did this and have allowed me to gets ome tickets. I was actually very impressed by this, as I was expecting to be knocked straight back.

Quite a few, I already had 4 and booked another 2 last week and only the front 2 rows in the Main stand were available, although some singles further back were available.
I'd expect the gate to be in the region of 20k. Could be more though if they sold the AW to Palace.
For christs sake, it is segregated out the back and they could 'net off' the seats in no-mans land.

i was told last week that tickets would go on genral sale today, i phoned this morning and told them what i has been told,
he said nah thats not quite right, we are now selling them to people who have purcased previously by credit card,
drat i thought , then i turned on the sob story, i have be a paying customer at the turnstiles for 20 years.

The Box Ofice are being ultra careful for this game. We have 5 season tickets between us and we had alot of friends who want to come so we decided to get 20 tickets, which is within our allocation. First they said no to the request although we argued they had no right to say no as we met their stipulated criteria for tickets. They then made us wait whilst they got clearance from someone senior before finally relenting and giving us the required tickets. Let's just hope all the effort is worth it and we finally have something to smile about at Selhurst for a change.

Scandalous that the away team is given the Authur Waite. Does anyone know have they got the whole stand of is it being fenced off at either end.
They must be over the moon with the amount of tickets they have been given. Who let them have this authur Police pressure or Simons ned for money?

They have got around 4,000 I believe with both ends of the AW being sectioned off with netting over the seats

No doubt I'll be corrected if I'm wrong but I think its the last two blocks at either end that have been closed off

No general ticket sale ^top
Crystal Palace have said that they will not be putting tickets on general sale for the clash with arch-rivals Brighton this weekend.
The match has been made all-ticket on the advice of police and none will be available on the day of the game. Tickets are currently available to season ticket holders and club members only from the Selhurst Park box office.
Meanwhile, the club have said that they will only be opening the Main Stand and the Holmesdale Stand lower tier for the visit of Coventry in the Worthington Cup next month.
Tickets for the third round clash are priced at £10 adults and £5 concessions in advance or £15 adults and £5 concessions on the day.
.........does this mean its sold out or they will only allow members and there guests in which I dont think will fill the ground.
Any views?
Ive got to say that i completely disagree with this. The one game we want to be totally sold out and there placing restrictions on the fans that shouldnt be there. I could understand if all the tickets were sold out however if this isnt the case then theres no excuse. Its definately not going to stop troublemakers as theyll get in at any cost (or fight outside) so whats the point?

There are loads of threads on this in the ticket and fixtures forum, where I should imagine this will be relocated imminently!
Seriously though, have a browse cos there are plenty of thoughts in there.

Not correcting you but I was having a lugh at those muppets on NSC and one arse bandit said his ticket had arrived and it was block X. So presumably only one block is closed at each end?
Strange thing is the official site is quoting prices for the Arthur Wait, Why?
Seeing as I've been told to move my season tickets as it's been reserved for Seaweeds:grrr:
