Howdy all. Just come back from The Music's gig. Absolutely awesome. The drummer was the star of the show - he worked at 500 mph, driving the songs through to their inevitable climax.
I'm now at ozeagle's place with oz, ozeaglette and Skin Up. Skin Up has just made the very valid point that the above comment should really have been posted on the The Music thread, so I guess that's where I'm going next...

Sorry Stella-baby...
In any case, the only reason I am enjoying a night of watching the cricket, eating twiglets and drinking decent wine is that I am in the spare room as my gorgeous wife is 38 wks pregnant and has been snoring like a wild boar for the last three weeks (surprisingly common among pregnant women apparently, as the capillaries in the nose expand...)
Anyway, it's not my fault that the TV and wine cellar is in the spare room... I'll just have to make do...
P.S. Let's hope she's not 2 weeks early, or it's party over!!!

Yeah but The Prince was, like, 1979 Madness (their first song) or something and they never re-created it. Years later at 'Madstock' I remember they got Prince Buster and flew him over and got him on stage and we were like knocked out 100% 'wow! Prince Buster!!!' and I overheard these skinheads in crombies (that looked like they had been hiding in a cupboard for 20 years) next to us say 'look at the funny old black geezer they've got on stage... hurr hurr'... crickey, poor buggers.
Reminds me also of a Blues Brothers tribute band that used to play The Cartoon and Underground etc. - one night they sold out most of the Town And Country Club (Forum) - and this big old rough nutty bird used to follow them everywhere in full pork pie Blues gear... one night I said 'so how many times have you seen the film?' and she said 'what film'... hehe

Watch out for Kim Clijsters in the women's game. She's been around the top 5-10 for the last year and a half but this year will be her big year. She's got all the attributes to beat the Williams sisters now (she beat them both in the end of season championships last year)
As for the men's game. Paradorn Sricaphan is going to have another good year, I think the time has come for Agassi to win Wimbledon again. Others to watch out for in the men's game are Andy Roddick,Philipoussis (if he stays injury free and concentrates on his game instead of his social life),and a young croatian by the name of Mario Ancic.
Other women to look out for are Anna Smashnova,Justine Henin,Daniele Hantchuova and Elena Baltacha's progress this year is of interest to me

I'd be very willing to discuss tennis with you Julian.
Sargisian is a fairly decent player but he is nowhere near the class of Philipoussis on form. Another one of those days of bad concentration from Marky boy i think. As for the poo facing up to competition, how long was he out for? A very long time, Henman played the Davis Cup tie with an injury and suffered because of it. Which is why he isn't there
And if Hewitt can nearly get beat by Larsson, then you never know....
I see Kim Clijsters is rolling over her opponent Poutchek, she is class and she's my tip to win Wimbledon this year

Pretty boring Rob
Most of my mates have gone AWOL - hence the fact i've been in most of the night.
Can't talk too much - I'm resting my vocal chords for Sunday.
Do you know what you're doing yet for drinkies on Sunday? It seems to be becoming a bit of a "where shall we go" nightmare

There's about 7 of us in the car. Me and 3 friends, my dad,my brother and a friend. Depending on when we get there (I think it will probably be 3.00) then it will probably be the Cherries (if we can get in). But I'm not sure because of the others coming with me.
Your best bet is to get up there early and ring Baloo or Rich and see where they are and go there.

Excellent job Nork - Quality drinking. Why stop now? You may as well see if you can do a 24 hour stint. :)

Julian, hope you've placed some money on Agassi to win tonight.
My prediction is that he'll win it in 3.
Oxo Schuettler
Although Probably now, he'll pull off a big upset and beat Agassi now that i've predicted he'll lose.

It's tempting, but then I know I'll be completely knackered tomorrow.
I think I'll go to bed like a good boy later and not stay up till 5 in the morning
