Yes good luck Munster against Biarritz.
6 Years is a long time.
All together now "Low lie the fields of Athenry....."
I am in Limerick tomorrow night. Hopefully we will be celebrating.

This was meant to be the weekend where Munster won on Saturday and Palace on Sunday.

I know the closest I'll get to Cardiff is flying over it :(

I wish I was... the place will be jumping. It won't be quite the same watching it in Penge!

Cracking game so far.
17 - 10 to Munster. :) 35 Minutes played.
The try by Stringer was great and best thing about it was, that it was mainly Bestens' fault. :D

I bet even in Penge the Fields of Athenry will be being sung right now

Having just come from the Goldsmiths I can tell you that you're right!
God Stringer was fantastic. I'm fairly pissed right now

No team has so openly coveted the Heineken Cup as Munster and Saturday’s scenes will have helped raise the tournaments importance that bit higher. It’ll be interesting to see how an Ireland team built around the Munster pack and Leinster backs will do down south this summer.

It was certainly sung in Cardiff the other night and most certainly all over Munster. I travelled through about 60% of Munster in the last days everywhere you go there are Munster Rugby jerseys, flags over the Motorway, banners on all of the lamp posts on the access road to Shannon & the turn out in Limerick on Sunday was brillaint despite torrential rain of biblical proportions.
I am in Galway tonite I think I'll go & see the actaul Fields of Athenry tomorrow. ;)

I don't think there's much to see in Athenry. I went to Spancill Hill once and there's b*gger all there too.
It shows how successful Munster have been at spreading their support. Ten years ago only Limerick and the posh bit of Cork cared. The whole idea of anyone liking rugby in Waterford or Clare (unless you were Keith Wood) was preposterous. It’s a great marketing effort from a team that plays in a small stadium in a rather unfashionable part of Ireland.

Ennis won out in the end. So I didn't stop in Athenry. However, I am glad to report that Daniel O'Connell is still standing on his pillar.
Yes it is amazing what they have achieved. Unfortunately RTÉ won't be allowed to carry the games live next season - its all on Sky. I hope that & the Holy Grail be found & the lack of TV coverage won't impact on the Munster Branch. Somehow I don't think that they will. The squad were given their civic reception in Cork tonight.
