RANGERS last night laughed off claims from former Motherwell midfielder Sasa Curcic that he is heading for Ibrox this summer.

The controversial Serbian, who has made a stream of off-the-wall comments in the past, spoke yesterday of joining the Scottish champions.

He said: "I am 90 per cent certain now to play in Scotland next season. It would be an honour for me to play for Rangers. Even if I have to sit on the Rangers' bench, it would be a great honour.

"To be part of such a great club would be wonderful for me. I'm in London at the moment but I hope to be back playing in Scotland because I love the country and the people, who are so warm and friendly.

"Rangers have always been my favourite team. I used to go up and watch them when I went to see my friend Gordan Petric and Ally McCoist play.

"I have every respect for what Dick Advocaat has achieved with Rangers. People ask Sasa what the difference between Rangers and Celtic is. It is Dick Advocaat. I just love the man.

"I would walk from Belgrade to Glasgow for pounds 25,000 a week."

Indeed. Rangers chairman David Murray said: "There is absolutely no chance of us signing Sasa Curcic."

A Rangers insider said: "Curcic for Rangers? Berwick Rangers maybe but not Glasgow Rangers."

Next week, Tomas Brolin signs for Celtic.

The first bit is bo(ll)ocks, and then in the last bit we reach the crux of the issue! Nothing like pricing yourself out of the market, eh Sasa!

mmmm, where have we heard that before. He went on about how much he loved Palace then absolutely slated us after leaving. He's just an attention seeking idiot.
