Rumours have it that Nicky Butt is off to Sporting Lisbon where he will join his ex team mate Peter Scmeichel.
Paul Okon (of Fiorentina) and Christian Karembeau (of Real Madrid) have been signed by Middlesbrough. Therefore Paul Gasgoine has been freed by Brian Robson.
John Scales is on his way to Ipswich.
Jordi Cruyff prefers Spain to West Ham or Southampton.
Real Madrid have received an offer of 5,000 million pesetas (anyone what that is in pounds?) from PSG. Anelka has already said he wants to go there but Real chairman Sanz must decide whether to accept the offer.
Regi Blinker of Celtic apparently wants to go to either Italy or Spain.
Norwich have signed 26 year old Gateano Giallanza from French club Nantes.
Gordon Durie seems to be on his way to Northerh Spirit in Australia, a club very friendly with Ranges already.
Pavel Srnicek, might not after all be on his way to Napoli, but maybe to Atalanta or Brescia, both in Italy, after contract talks broke down with Napoli.
And finally...Staphane Henchoz has prolonged his contract for another year with Liverpool.
