View Full Version : Friday lyrics thread: theme 'a bit of a dust up''
They let the Millwall mutants out of their cages tomorrow, so this week's Friday lyrics theme pays tribute to our semi-evolved neighbours with a 'bit of a dust up' or a spot of 'fisticuffs'.
A truly obvious one to start with…
1. The time is right for Palace revolution
and a couple of others to give you the idea…
2. They stood there face to face and Ted went for his bun
3. I can't dress just the way I want, I'm being chased by the National Front
Take care tomorrow :)

He said "Do you want it pasteurized?"
She said "I'll be happy if it comes up to my neck." :D

"All the power's in the hands
Of people rich enough to buy it
While we walk the street
Too chicken to even try it"
Cor, that was quick. How about this then…
There's the rockabilly cats with their pomps real high
Wearin' black drape coats, all real gone guys
Cool skinheads with their rolled-up jeans
Lookin' real tough and mighty mean

Easy one this,
I first felt a fist, and then a kick
I could now smell their breath
They smelt of pubs and Wormwood Scrubs
And too many right wing meetings

Are you working your way through the first Clash album PK? Or perhaps we'll credit Police and Thieves to Junior Murvin.
The Jam one is Down in the Tube Station at Midnight
How about:
A bunch of BMs march in on DMs
Some stand there, saluting the air

Im afraid your Rule Britannia Mania doesn’t ring so true,
If I was Captain of the waves I’d turn the guns on you,
Any last requests, before you join the dead?
And crap into your Union Jack and wrap it ‘round your head
Wrap it ‘round your head, wrap it ‘round your head,
to collect up all the blood we’ve shed
We believe you when you said,
It was worth it

Now listen here Harry
If we're going down the pub
You'd better tell your mum and dad
And finish up your grub
I wish you'd listen to me
No, I don't want a cup of tea
You're telling me to grow up
But Harry don't you see
If I tried to act my age
I wouldn't be me
We never do anything
So now's the time to begin
You don't have to tell me
That the thing's I do are wrong
But everything I do in life
Is with us right or wrong
Now I think I understand
How to have some fun
At least its got the best accent of the lot ;)

try this. I'll be surprised if anyone gets it:
I've been examined ever since I was semen
They took a sonogram and seen the image of a demon
At birth the nurses surrounded me with needles
and drugged me all up with the diseases of evil
Grew up in hell, now I dwell, in an Islamic Temple
I'm fighting a holy war in the mental
Look deep into my eyes, you'll see visions of death
Possessed by homicide is what I'm obsessed
