Missing Fulham fans

Where are they all? Top of the table, new manager, good new signings, won 6 in a row and they still only get 10-11,000. Are they all defected to Chelsea? The Sun said in Monday's match report that no doubt when promotion became obvious they would all "crawl back out of the woodwork".

The slightly puzzled commentary on the Sunday described the crowd as having a "somewhat polite atmosphere". This when they were 4-1 up, playing beautifully and ripping Barnsley to shreds. I've been in noisier libraries.

No doubt a few will come crawling out of the woodwork if they continue to look like being promoted but I can't see them ever getting up to regular 25k+ gates, even in the Premiership. It rather makes a mockery of their application for a 30k seater stadium. We all know their current position is down solely to Al Fayed's money and the only real question is how much longer that will continue.

Fulham only have a hard core following of around 7-10,000 which is why there aren't any more there.

They are however suffering from Chelsea syndrome - in that there are a large number of new faces there these days - plus a lot more people in certain areas of London now wearing brand spanking new Fulham shirts walking around.

BTW - Fulham fans hate Chelsea with a passion - so you won't find any of them down there.

Its really quite funny, when they turn round and call your fans and team crap. You have so many replys:

1) Where were you when you were sh!t/broke?
2) Why did you leave palace, where the support sings?
3) Is it hard getting the train to victoria past a stadium with roofs, seats and noise...... to a stadium of SH!T3?
