Sorry to all who have no interest but it had to return.

Just a disappointment at the mo, it's all bad news on the US front:

Reluctantly, 49ers' Rice may move on in 2001

He breaks at least two NFL records with every pass he catches, and his legend is secure in the uppermost tier of the game's greats. But San Francisco receiver Jerry Rice acknowledged the obvious this week: Maybe it's time to move on.

While he still hasn't completely abandoned his dream of ending his career with the 49ers, Rice said his desire to play past this season might make it necessary to part ways with the team he has starred with for 16 seasons.

In reality, he already may have stayed too long.

Not all bad news at all GB, the Dolphins are 2-1 and at this stage of the season I'll settle for that.

Who do you reckon will win the big Tampa Bay-Jets game on Sunday?

Palacefan,

Just checked up on the 'ole football after a hiatus (webmaster duties I'm afraid). You were right about Arkansas but South Caroline? Good result! Bit unfair the labelled "The Underachievers" I thought still the comeback trail's still on. Good to see the Tide having a break till next week. They probably need the rest after playing 5 games in September.

My 49ers finally sparked into life first against Dallas and then playing the cardinals last week. Interesting to see how they play against the Raiders later today (last time was '94) with a 2-3-0 record. Will be a good October for games as we're playing the Packers next week and the Panthers the week after that.

Well GB, I have just come back off of a real high. Yesterday we beat Old Miss 45-7 without five of our best players; we also lost one of our QB's. Zow proved what a lot of us knew he could do; he went 12 0f 12 to end the game. It was what we expected of this team prior our 3 losses, a very dominant defence and a multifaceted offence.
Next week we play the Tenn. Vols in Nashville before 110,000 and I will be one of that number, three of our next 5 games are on on the road; LSU and Miss State. The last game of the season is against Auburn and I will be attending the Tranmere game and believe me it was a very hard decision to make, but I honestly believe that we will beat them without my help?

I had picked Tampa to go go all the way and it looks as if the Rams will be hard to beat this year.
I am currently watching the Saints play Panthers and they have just scored their first rushing touchdown at home, there is over 11 mins to play in the 2nd qtr.
