Songs that make you love music!

I think we should be rocking and raving, drinking and joking but what to? I'm not anti-love, and am perfectly sane and happy right now, but that "Devising a Love Song Playlist" was making me queasy!

"Lick My Love Pump" by Spinal Tap was suggested on there!

What else????

I did say "rock and rave" - bit unsure about Baby D, cheesy Peterborough nightclubs spring to mind with naughty forty year old women dancing around handbags, but the other two - BANGIN!!!

The Macc Lads- 'Sweaty Betty'. In fact, most things done by the Macc Lads somehow seem to miss out on being classified as a 'Love Song'.

Joy Division- 'Love will tear us apart'

Afghan Whigs- 'Black Love'. The whole album, basically.

I remember a magazine doing a feature on why there are so many Chillout albums these days, before going on to suggesting the track listing for an "Anti-Chillout" album: I remember The National Anthem by Radiohead being suggested, which is a good anti-love song by my reckoning, the studio version's got crazy horns and everything.
