For some reason, the pound character is showing up as a question mark on the BBS when I access it from my Office. This has happened ever since I downloaded the Chinese Character support (don't ask why) when prompted by Microsoft to do so last week.

Do any of you know whether there is a connection and/or what I can do to get things back to normal?

This is a pound sign: £
This is a question mark: ?

It would be nice to see a difference.

I can't get a pound sign at all! I have to chose between # and $. Given the choice I suppose I prefer lots of $$$$$$$$.

This is just a guess, but could the Chinese Character Support be designed for a North American keyboard layout? I have Chinese, Korean and Japanese character support downloaded, but all the keys on my PC seem to do what they are told.

Nothing other than a full format of all hardrives and a reinstallation of windows can fix this.

Sorry about that
