"Stanley Kubrick" by Mogwai. Not that I'm like the Film director in any sense but it's a great track with no lyrics so you can associate whatever's going on in your life with it.

Just (Radiohead)- because of the line 'you do it to yourself', which got to me as I'm an epileptic and often end up damaging myself;
Ace of Spades (Motorhead)- who wants to live forever?
And there's a Christian praise and worship song, title of which I've forgotten, which means a lot to me as well. But I've forgotten the title and I doubt many folks on here would know of it anyway.

Away up in Gorgie at Tynecastle Park
There's a wee football team that aye makes it's mark
They've won all the honours for footballing arts
And there's nae other team to compare with the Hearts
...
H-E-A-R-T-S
If you cannae spell it then here's what it says
Hearts glorious Hearts
It's down at Tynecastle they bide
The talk of the toun are the boys in Maroon
And Auld Reekie supports them with pride
This is my story this is my song
Follow the Hearts and you can't go wrong
For some say the Celtic and Rangers are grand
but the boys in maroon are the best in the land
...
And national caps we can always supply
like Massey and Walker or Bauld and Mackay
if I had the time I could name dozens more
who have helped in producing the old Hampden roar
...
We've won the league flag and we've won the league cup
Though we sometimes go down we will aye go back up
Our forwards can score and it's NO IDLE TALK
our defence is as strong as the old castle rock

WHEREVER I LAY MY HAT (THAT'S MY HOME)
By the look in your eye I can tell you're gonna cry.
Is it over me?
If it is, save your tears
for I'm not worth it, you see.
For I'm the type of boy who is always on the roam,
wherever I lay my hat that's my home,
I'm telling you that's my home.
You had romance, did you break it by chance
over me?
If it's so I'd like for you to know
that I'm not worth it, you see.
For I'm the type of boy who is always on the roam, mm,
wherever I lay my hat that's my home,
mm, that's my home.
Oh, you keep telling me, you keep telling me I'm your man.
What do I have to do to make you understand?
For I'm the type of guy who gives girl the eye,
everybody knows.
But I love them and I leave them,
break their hearts and deceive them everywhere I go.
Don't you know that I'm the type of man who is always on the roam,
wherever I lay my hat that's my home.
wherever I lay my hat, oh oh, that's my home, mm yeh,
that's my home
and I like it that way.

Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits, for my first love, the lyrics ran true, it felt it was written just for me back then.
Time - Pink Floyd, contains some of the most poignant lyrics ever penned, none more so than - And then one day you find, 10 years have got behind you, ...........how true is that?
