Forsell back to the usual crap after impressing his manager against Portsmouth. Gray, Morrison and Rubins the scorers.

Ruddock bundles the ball over the line in a 10th minute goalmouth scramble. Both sides fail to impress. Palace should have wrapped it up in the first half but Mullins and Rubins wasted good chances. Grimsby threatened for most of the 2nd and deserved at least a point. Relieved Palace boss Smith grateful for the points and states his team has turned the corner.

Spot on, but don't forget a couple of penalty misses, the odd disallowed goal, floodlight failure, pitch invasion, flooding and a 22-man brawl.

I predict it'll be raining, not many people will turn up, there will be people singing for Stevie Coppell and 15 mins before the end I'll be hoping for the final whistle so I can get a pint.

The boys in red and blue leave the field with "Smith out" and "There's only one Stevie Coppell" ringing in their ears..once again

Why cannot we just get a manager not connected with CPFC in any shape or form, and start from a clean slate?

2-0 down at HT. Jordan barges into changing rooms and losses his rag which causes Smith to resign on the spot.

Palace storm back in 2nd half to win 3-2 with the winner being a last minute penalty scored by Freedman.

After trailing 0-1 at halftime, Alan Smith has a blinding flash of inspiration, he tells his players to pass the ball to Rubens 'he was not bought as a garden gnome...but a winger; a football player'. Three crosses three towering headers from our old fashioned forwards. 3-1. Smith survives but....

Then the call from Lancaster Gate. Peter Taylor wants Alan Smith as his forward looking foreign coach. His tactics are all Greek to me.

Ruddock to score for us first and then we throw it away as Grimsby get a late equalizer.

Palace 1 Grimsby 2. Freedman scores early then the rot sets in as Palace lose their way. Fans end up playing spot the fan in the Arthur Wait Stand.
