My brother and his mate had the best skiing wipeout EVER, on video as well going to be sent to you've been framed etc, the works
Our (mad) Ski instructor took me, my bro, his mate and sister off piste and got to a ledge and told us to jump of it but i am not mad so declined, my bro and his mate decided to go together and whilst his mate decided to turn before jumping, my bro went down at about 90mph and went higher than his mate who had made almost a perfect landing but my bro bounced went to the side and smashed into his friend, It was so funny, can you get videos on the bbs, because believe me it is worth seeing

Maidstoned Eagle
05-01-2004, 02:34 PM

Maidstoned Eagle
05-01-2004, 02:37 PM
Nah. Her mate was very dissapointed when I told her that we had a twin room, when she asked if she could come back to the hotel with me. This was after she told me she was 22, with a seven year old daughter and had snogged three different blokes whilst her mate chatted to us. Hard to imagine but I had to turn her offer down, such a classy bird.

well, mine weren't that bad, but kinda get ya - had to fit in my mum (xmas eve/day), dad (boxing day), missuses family (next 2 days)
ended up doing 500+ miles in about 5 days!

1f77
FourtyTwo
06-01-2004, 03:09 PM
got the mortgage with Bank of Scotland - circumstances (i.e. no income) meant that the options were very limited.

Gerry from Sussex
06-01-2004, 03:15 PM
They screw you like that. You can switch out later when you have an income and you'll probably save loads even with the penalties

FourtyTwo
06-01-2004, 03:17 PM
yup - thats the plan - might even try n switch out next year when I'm on placement!
But it's gonna cost us exactly the same (mortgage + life assurance + home n contents cover) as our current rent. Plus we get a decent 2 bed house rather than a grotty sh*thole flat!

Gerry from Sussex
06-01-2004, 03:19 PM
How much a 2 bed in Huddersfield cost then?

FourtyTwo
06-01-2004, 03:20 PM
this one is costing 59500
but they can be as cheap as mid 40's if you wanna live in fartown!

Gerry from Sussex
06-01-2004, 03:21 PM
who would though!

FourtyTwo
06-01-2004, 03:22 PM
well, some people wanna!
about 6 months ago I saw a 2 bed on the market for 20000! Windows were boarded up, n was right in the middle of fartown!

Gerry from Sussex
06-01-2004, 03:28 PM
Got offered a job at Leeds Uni a couple of years ago but my other half said I could only move to Yorkshire if I went on my own!!

Money wise would have been brilliant. Same sort of salary but houses about a third of the price. I was lucky moving down here in mid-90s. House cost 116 but would now be about 260/270. Couldn't even begin to afford it if I was moving now. I've got a friend in Cooksridge on same sort of money and he lives in a house I could only dream about!

FourtyTwo
06-01-2004, 03:32 PM
it is a lot cheaper to live up here. My old flat (which I sold to my brother for £65000 a year n a half ago) is now worth about £95000. Thats down near Southend!
But for that up here you could get a 3 bed semi!

Plus the booze is cheaper!

which uni - Leeds or the Met?

JamieBcpfc
06-01-2004, 05:36 PM
or you could just be a professional hobo

Gerry from Sussex
06-01-2004, 05:48 PM

Wedgy
12-01-2004, 10:08 AM
First of all, many apologies .... my 1 week break turned into 2 weeks due to ill health :(
Lots of movement in the table this week - enough even to make me think about doing the updates every fortnight from now on rather than weekly.

Baldy opens up a 2 position lead over GOD
Maidstoned Eagle and CK make large gains, while Biggus is obviously still busy drinking Xmas Beer
Highest gain this week from new member - Gerry From Sussex with +8.61%

I notice a few new Bilgers in CCG, if any would like to join Bilge Idol, please PM me :p

biggus mickus
12-01-2004, 05:40 PM

biggus mickus
12-01-2004, 05:44 PM
