Amazing performance by GB!
FourtyTwo
26-01-2004, 09:03 AM
I'm guessing it's him I should be worried about, not you eh Gerry!
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:19 AM
Well, I'm sure I would have been doing around 95% recently but I'm still paying for all those sensible posts in the years before I joined CCG. Still, at least I'm well into the top 50 overall now and way ahead of you both on that table at least!
Goldberg Basher
26-01-2004, 09:23 AM
Ha Ha. I'm within sniping distance though. Watch your back over the next couple of weeks.
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:26 AM
I am. But, it's okay - we can both overtake all the slackers together!
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:27 AM
Bilgers rule the BBS!!
Goldberg Basher
26-01-2004, 09:28 AM
Surprised how many posters in the top 100 haven't actually posted that much recently. Must be a winter thing.
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:29 AM
I know - great isn't it
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:31 AM
You'd think they would post more in winter anyway. I know I wouldn't be indoors posting so much if it wasn't cold and wet outside
Goldberg Basher
26-01-2004, 09:31 AM
Wasn't too many days ago that you were on page 2.
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:33 AM
yep, but past 7,000 there's quite a big gap to bridge.
Goldberg Basher
26-01-2004, 09:39 AM
Without CCG it would take an age to get to Wedgy's and BE96's heights of achievements.
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:41 AM
I do wonder if I might start to get bored by 10,000 though. It's hard work sometimes
Goldberg Basher
26-01-2004, 09:47 AM
You've always got the bilge table to climb as well. There's also the chance that Dave could remove the post counter again and make the whole point of CCG pointless.:(
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:48 AM
He better not :grrr: :veryangry
Goldberg Basher
26-01-2004, 09:50 AM
Remember when it happended the last time and we all got stars instead of posts?
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:51 AM
don't remember that
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 09:51 AM
1f4e
how does it work with stars
Goldberg Basher
26-01-2004, 09:55 AM
You just get more stars as you build up posts. The top poster would get a full set and the followers would get a share of stars based on either how many posts they'd made based on a fixed levels or on a proportion of the posts the followers had compared to the leader. The leader having 15 stars and a poster with the equivalent of 10% of his posts would get 1.5 stars.
Bit on the crap side IMHO.
Gerry from Sussex
26-01-2004, 10:00 AM
sounds blx. Post count much simpler and more accurate.
Anyway, I'm off to work now. Bye

Gerry from Sussex
27-01-2004, 03:54 PM
you need a tonic
Goldberg Basher
27-01-2004, 03:58 PM
Hair tonic for your avatar?
biggus mickus
27-01-2004, 03:59 PM
I hope beer counts as tonic. I am drinking bottles of Mahou, like they were water.
Goldberg Basher
27-01-2004, 04:00 PM
Watered down?
biggus mickus
27-01-2004, 04:09 PM
I dont think so. Water is for health freaks, or people who work hard in the heat. I like a cold bottle of Mahou myself, it doesnt make my p!ss clear.
FourtyTwo
27-01-2004, 05:33 PM
I wonder what mahou tastes like.
Gerry from Sussex
27-01-2004, 07:00 PM

Cheers. Think it probably was to do with my age n experience - they mainly get inexperienced 19 / 20 year olds, who they can get to do all the sh*t jobs, n cos of my 4 years working in London, they thought I might be after more. Thats what I'm telling myself anyway - makes me feel better!
Gerry from Sussex
05-02-2004, 11:25 AM

Does anyone hear want to champion one of the top 10 greatest palace players, all that is required is a 100-200 word piece about the player and why he should win the award
The Ten Is
Mark Bright
Jim Cannon
Attilio Lombardo
Nigel Martyn
Vince Hilaire
Don Rogers
Ian Wright
Peter Taylor
Geoff Thomas
