Gerry from Sussex

I think the only way we can solve this is to put a time limit on each go. I don't ever start one unless I know I'm sticking around for at least a couple of hours and I don't think CE or ME does either.

Alternatively, if that causes a problem for people like Jamie who aren't around during the day why don't we just have two threads -'day time Hangman' and 'overnight hangman'. That way we can have shorter games during the day and leave the other one open from the previous day if necessary. Maybe that will keep everybody sweet!

P? CE

calne eagle
07-01-2004, 07:25 PM
Well done - the answer is in fact Brueghel. The original painter Brueghel had the H, but dropped it when he was about 30ish. His sons etc., who were also painters, re-adopted the H.
I know this all because I'm very erudite.

Oh, all right, I know this because I wasn't sure about the H / no H and so did a Google search before I posted it up so as not to make a prat of myself (more than usual)

Praise the Lord and pass the biscuits!
Chicken Kookie Kookie.

Now what the f*ck is that?
Obviously doesn't help when one would have gone for 'chicken' early doors but it was dashed as 'chicke'.
'Why do we bother, Fawlty?
I'm not sure we do, Major.'
Anybody's go, I just don't care any more and I'm going to bed - but.........
If you want to have a go overnight, you can pm me with the answer and I'll run with it just not Jamie, please..........

Still have to wonder if he'd worked out if all the letters (bar the O) in his obscure 'Kookie' were included in the rather more common word 'chicken'.
