Back from the performance at Fairfield Halls, Absolutely World Class! Even though the Macca had been changed (apparantley just after the show in 2001) and the Ringo has been changed just recently. But still if you closed you're eyes you could swear you were hearing THE Beatles actually performing on stage! The show did seem quite a bit shorter than before, several songs I was disapointed that were left out, HELP! She Loves You, Elignor Rigby, Imagine, etc. But what they did was as usual fantastic! Again really impressed by the John Lennon. Humour still didn't lack pointed out especially by a classic alteration of yesterday by Lennon and then "And so this is Croydon!" to the theme of this is christmas! Overal superb, a great night out!
:) :p :)

Old mate of mine plays George Harrison. Excellent band, great musicians. And that bloke really looks the spit of John Lennon !

See 'em once, yonks ago, thought they were OK, but once is enough (Not being a big Beatles fan to start with). Its the crowds' reaction that seems to make the gig.
(BTW The Real Beatles played the Fairfield Halls the week I was born)

Difficult - seeing as it was only built in the 1960's :clown:

Saw them at Fairport Convention (!!!??) and Glastonbury... like Neil says, it's the audience that make the gigs good - and they do quite well with all the Sgt. Peppers stuff as the Beatles didn't really play any of that 'live' themselves did they?

Saw them supporting Oasis at Earls court around 93/94ish, very good :p & at the end they all came on stage with Oasis to do "I am the Walrus". Brilliant gig

Thats what we are meant to believe ( and who can forget the film ). However for propaganda reasons, it was decided that the air crash, rather than the heart attack he experienced banging the brains out of a Parisien "femme du nuit", was a more suitable demise.

Myself & Joeagle went last night. As usual they were excellent. Have seen them at Fairfield Halls twice now and also at Epsom races a couple of years ago. Unfortunately was never able to see the real group but the BB almost make up for that. The range in ages attending last night was from kids of 10years (who new all the words to the songs) to people 65+. A great evening out - highly recommended.

Not another Frog cover up.
I am trying to remember the TV show I watched in which somebody went looking for the plane. Their story was the plane was flying low over the channel at the same time that bombers were returning from an air raid and these bombers were dropping their bombs into the channel and one or some hit the Miller plane. A tail gunner claims to have seen the plane get hit and according to records there was only one plane of this type in that area. Bloody hell even today they do not know who is on first ( :D ) let alone who was flying where.
Two US fighter planes climbed out of their base in New England and both just missed a BA flight into JFK. As the last Concorde went into overdrive US Fighter command reported a UFO, the pilot of a fighter guarding the flight paths into the US reported seeing this object disappear when it had been flying along normally :lux:

I went to see these guys still going strong last night at the Fairfield Halls. Marvelous Fayre - really enjoyed the set they played. Seemed to play much more of their later stuff. They'd finished Sgt Petter before the interval.
