Anyone watching, or am I alone.

Cannot believe that Morley walked after 12 secs.

Gutting, what chance we got now.

Have to wait to second test.

I listened to the game on the radio and it seemed tight. The Ozzies have left a few decent players behnd though.

It is good to see more competative matches than we got a few years back mind.

Johnson

u right there a very competitive match, unlike usual matches between them, only hope can win second test to make the last one a special event as it deserves.

Probably says it all really. The professionalisation of the Union code has really done for Rugby League and the latter has now become very much a minority sport. The 'Rugby' World Cup is taking place and has pride of place. For better or worse this 'Test' means very little.

Johnson

U right all the money in Union now.

However I think League is a better spectator sport.

However I love em both

Only three international teams really in League, so what chance.

League bigger than Union in Australia though.

I think you have misunderstood. I appreciate your comments were about your views on Rugby league which to an extent I agree with. I just couldn't resist an obvious pop at the Aussies who will be well and truly beaten by NZ next weekend.

next week will be close ish, will not be a thrashing like u think.

I reckon 5 - 9 in either tams favour, no team will run away with it.

Sorry. I can't agree. The Aussies are weak (they will be the weakest semi finalists unless Wales spring the surprise of all surprises) and too reliant on referees to see them through. 1pt against Ireland and today's result against Scotland - not only arguably but definitely the weakest team in the quarters - flattered them. The refereeing was appalling. The 'winning' try was clearly offside although Medcalf should have made the tackle but that effectively ended things as a contest. The All Blacks, if they play anything like they did against SA, will annihilate the Aussies just as they did in the Bedislow Cup.

I am really not sure who I would want to lose more out of Australia and Wales.

The which Cup?

In which sport does one contest for the Bedislow Cup?

The australian media harp on all the time that they could put out their fifth string team and still beat anyone, well now after the loss to NZ and scraping home against a 12 man GB team the "we have lots of players injured & unavailable" excuses are coming to the fore.

Please someone belt the living daylights out of that w@nker Michael Crocker in the next test. I despise his dirty antics when playing for the roosters and it was evident in the test today.

I obviously read/watch/listen to a different section of the media than you do. Can you please provide examples? If it's "all the time" I imagine a list of 20 shouldn't be difficult to compile.

The test before the NZ win was a big win to the Aussies,it was said then on channel 9 and channel seven,it is said on the footy show everytime an international is near,it is said by Mike Gibson in the telegraph and the guy with the glasses Phillip someone(also in the tele). Chris anderson used it as an excuse after the NZ loss,Brett Kimmorley did also...thats just off the top of my head

We are talking League here, not union.

On another note, a London Broncos forum have an auction where you can win one of the cheerleaders outfits. ;)
These girls area bit older than the Palace cheerleaders.

I couldn't watch this because Pop Idol was on and the remote was confiiscated but i caught the first minute and saw the most bizarre national anthems in the history of sport. Advance australia was sung by a Ukranian opera singer while God Save by a ten year old boy.

Hands up - you've got me on a technicality - I should of course have spelt it Bedisloe! However I don't think that really changes the fact that it's something you self proclaimed 'sporting giants' never win anymore is it?

Just in case you've forgotten or anyone wants a laugh

Excuses like yours' are why you will probably never win it again mate! The semi is coming and you are going to get well and truly stuffed.:lux: :lux: :lux:

Got you on a technicality??? Can't even get it right the second time.
Well done to S_E.

Never win it anymore? eh?

We've held it since 1998 and lost it this year by less than a try.
Suppose we shouldn't even rock up next week since we are going to "get well and truly stuffed".

And who made any excuses?

If this is the best aussie ref, then it is a joke, he is missing numerous forward passes, like on that last try and why not use TV on that try.

He is a joke, I thought that Harrigan was bad.

Should be neutral refs, must a NZ who could ref.

Morley is a nutter by the way.

In Australia, does League appeal to a certain area of the country more than Union? Like here, when it was more the Northern Industrial towns over the Public School system.

Be interested to find out, have to remember to check back. Hope the question isn't too stupid ;)

oz_da II
15-11-2003, 06:47 PM
League is played in the same areas as Union (Queensland and NSW) nowhere else really.

Does anyone know if the GB commentators have run out of tissues yet?

Why do GB have no backbone at all.

Like I thought the Aussies killed us at the marker position, GB are not fit enough.

need more playing in the NRL.

Suppose will have to wait another two years.

Should do NZnext year though.

Australia deserved to win, due to GB incompetence.

Johnson

Hope we get some pride back in the third test.

Would be nice to be beat the aussies twice in one day at both forms of rugby.

Come on you GB.
