Stan Collymore is close to running out of lives and we need to ask ourselves whether or not we want him to use one of the lives with us. He has now worked his way through 7 League clubs and it appears that the only teams showing an interest are foreign. Bradford state they want £500,000 for him and although his salary may be a problem is he worth considering. Surely he is going to start towing the line sooner or later and to be fair there has not been any negative press against him whilst he has been at Bradford. (although he did get beaten up) Anyway if he did step out of line then Razor could always give him a slap. I know Smith has been warned off him but you never know.

I think that Stan Collymore has had enough last chances already.

If he can't even do the business for a whole-hearted but limited team like Bradford, then there's no hope for him anymore.

The next manager to give him a chance will be putting his head well and truly on the block. It will take a braver man than Smith to do that.

Just to put the record straight I am not for one moment saying we should sign him, in fact I do not think he is the answer, but there are some people who just see his ability as a footballer and think maybe, just maybe.

I read in one of the Sundays that he's on the verge of signing a two year contract with VFB Stuttgart.

Can you commute to Germany from Stafford?

What are you guys talkin about? Stan would be a great signing! The chances though are remote as not even a 'top' German team can agree terms, so what chance do we have? Stan is an excellent player and anyway, Smithy could give him a famous 'kick up the backside'

Am i wrong?

'fraid so.......................yes, excellent talent but totally wasted like Curcic. There's something wrong in his head and this is another leopard that won't change his spots.

The club would be daft to even consider bringing Stan back. After the past few seasons of trouble that he has had I can't see any English club considering it.

The only manager that has been able to get the best from him was Barry Fry at Southend. Maybe Fry will get him to go to Peterbrough, he could partner Leon Mckenzie upfront. What a force to be reckoned with!!

what great talent? Stan has the ability to do the odd stunning thing - is goal against Leeds - but basically he's no more than a moderate player who must be good because Liverpool once paid a fortune for him. All you buy with Stan is a dubious temprement and the chance of a few isolated golden moments. I'm surprised anybody would even consider buying him -- and his salary - 13k a week plus 7k per game. Sorry Bradford - if you were dumb enough to agree to that you're stuck with it.
