Any idea what our ticket allocation for Derby is? Advance only or will they be available on the day?

BaldEagle96

Away allocation is normally 3,000 but can be increased to 4,800 if demand is high! Would be quite happy to get close to filling the 3,000 - especially compared to last season. Cannot remember how many were there last season but we could sit where we wanted and the place was almost empty!!!

Bought mine last week, £20. In upper tier, dead central behind goal.

I remember the game last year. There weren't that many of us, but I recall our goal coming when we were at our loudest.
Repeat performance please.

Was mid-week though, which makes a big difference in turn out. But should be ok to pay on day/sit where you like - most away games are.

Its the strangely named Cawarden Stand - away fans get the upper tier.
Its a great ground and the roof definitely helps with the noise - Derby Fans are pretty dull (worse than Forest) and even with the paltry number we attracted last year (and it was a shocking game) we still made more noise than the home fans.

Really looking forward to it - its only ten mins from where I live and the Chicken Balti Pies are top quality:D

There r a couple of pubs if u turn right out of the station - The Brunswick & the Alexandra Hotel. They have bouncers but do let in away fans (no singing permitted though!).

Had an e-mail exchange with the Derby ticket office and they definitely said that they don't do student concessions.
If you look on their web-site, they quote young adult prices for home fans, but you have to be a member to get them.

I bought 2 tickets to the Derby game on Friday evening (13th Feb) and they said we'd sold just UNDER 600 tickets. I asked how many we'd been given and he said 1250 but could easily get loads more and that there would probably be tickets available at the gates. Train journey is just over an hour and a half to Derby from St.Pancras...THAT'S ALL!

COME ON PEOPLE GET YOUR TICKETS...600 AINT GOOD ENOUGH!!

www.midlandmainline.com - but I think you'll find most of the £15 ones have gone now.

I'm going up on the 11.25 and coming back on the 19.00 so I hope there's a good pub to go to after the game!

make sure, when you phone up that you say you've been quoted the £15, otherwise it may not be offered - think you might still be lucky

For those still looking to get train tickets I have just rung midland mainline and was able to purchase 4 @ £15 each still , only downer is that you have to get the 18.20 train back as the earlier ones are sold out . Anyone wishing to call Midland be prepared to wait on hold forever or be cut off when you get through ....worth it in the end though

Normski
18-02-2004, 10:28 AM
I'm coming along with A Derby supporting friend. 12.25 from St Pancras gets in to Derby at 2.00. First train back was quoted as 19.44, but hey a few celebratory beers will keep me going! Midland Mainline telephones and website are useless - hope the trains are better!!
