MARK PALACE TILL I DIE

Sorry to start another topic regarding the playoff final tickets but thought my concerns deserved its own thread.

Having spent some time reading the various posts on the subject it is quite obvious that today’s ticket sales have been a complete fiasco.

I have ended up with 3 extra tickets, if my e-mail confirmation is correct. I would like to request that others who find themselves in the same situation as myself or have purchased over their entitled allocation do all they can to ensure that any spare tickets end up in the hands of genuine Palace fans.

Please resist giving your West Ham pal a ticket whilst genuine Palace fans are so desperate to go to the game.

If my confirmation is correct and I do receive 3 extra tickets I will ensure that they end up in Palace hands. I urge my fellow supporters to do the same.

Completely Agree.

Think how crap the atmosphere will be if we are surrounded by people who have,nt been to a single match this year, or worse still West Ham fans.

Totally agree. We told a West Ham mate that he could not come. This is not a game for rivals to be sitting next to each other. You or I may be his mate but the people sitting in front and behind are not. It could get very messy and who wants to be thrown out of the play off final?

I was afraid this would happen.

Please use the appropriate thread already started.

I intended this thread to drum up support for the likes of you assuming you are genuine.

Thanks.

People who booked through Ticketmaster for previous games were advised that the tickets were for HOME fans only and any away supporters found in the area would be ejected. I believe this DID happen at Coventry. I hope the same policy is put into effect with West Ham and that any rival fans found in our end are either refused entry or are ejected..and without a refund of course!

Any Palace 'fans' who got these guys tickets should be banned from having a season ticket ever again (though it might not be so easy to trace them!) as I consider it gross misconduct. If these blokes kicked off and all the Palace fans reacted WHO WILL GET THE BLAME considering they will be outnumbered about 5000 to 1! Quite apart from that these so called loyal fans are taking away tickets from genuine fans whether season ticket holders or not!

Of all the threads on the final tickets, this is by far the best and most worthy...cheers Mark!

:grrr: :grrr: :grrr: I went on the seeticket website to order my tickets and I am not booked on by the club with my post code which means a day on the phone to the club to find out what the hell they are playing at. to say I am not happy is a under statement. :veryangry :veryangry :veryangry

Great request to put Palace fans first,
Sorry but I am desparate to get tickets so have been posting on as many threads as I can. I have been on the phone and on-line on the BBS and several other sites all day trying to arrange flights, hotels, car rental and match tickets, let alone asking for time off from my boss and having to tell her indoors that I need to spend well over a grand travelling more than 11,000 miles 'just to watch a game of foota'.

If the club requests a tape from the stadium surveillance cameras it would be very easy to see who is in what seats.

On another thread I posted a link to a "fan" flogging his tickets on E Bay. I have sent him the following message and would urge all other BBSers who use EBay to do likewise. - (see Tickets For Sale in Palace End (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=53639&item=4132990286&rd=1) )

I am disgusted that a fellow supposed Palace fan is looking to make a profit out of final tickets when other fans can't get tickets and at the risk of West Ham fans getting the tickets. You should be aware of the following:

1. Visit the Palace BBS and see what other Palace fans think of sales like this - http://forums.cpfc.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51928

2. Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994

166.—(1) It is an offence for an unauthorised person to sell, or offer or expose for sale, a ticket for a designated football match in any public place or place to which the public has access or, in the course of a trade or business, in any other place.

(2) For this purpose—
(a) a person is "unauthorised" unless he is authorised in writing to sell tickets for the match by the home club or by the organisers of the match;
(b) a "ticket" means anything which purports to be a ticket; and
(c) a "designated football match" means a football match, or football match of a description, for the time being designated under section 1(1) of the [1991 c. 19.] Football (Offences) Act 1991.
(3) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale.

(4) In section 24(2) of the [1984 c. 60.] Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (arrestable offences), after the paragraph (g) inserted by section 85(2) of this Act there shall be inserted the following paragraph— " (h) an offence under section 166 of the [1994 c. 33.] Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (sale of tickets by unauthorised persons);"

3. http://www.football-league.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10794~526785,00.html

Do the decent thing and offer them at the price you paid to a fellow fan via www.cpfc.org

I'll post his reply up here.....

THIS PERSON CALLS THEMSELVES ADDICK99 - THIS SUMS IT UP FOR ME. looking at the bids so far, up to £137.00 looks like a couple of the bidders are west ham fans, nice to know they'll spend a lot of money on the ticket, and run the risk of being kicked out, TOSSERS!

No need to mail him, since he's a clowntown loving tout I felt obliged to try and stop the auction by mailing ebay through their system although that won't stop the scummer from contacting the bidders directly if he chooses. Touting is illegal and it's clear in their rules and regs.

It's up over £215 now.

Now £220.00, how the hell did a clowntown fan get hold of a Palace Ticket? if it's through a season ticket holder or member, i hope you're bloody proud of yourself. :veryangry :veryangry :veryangry

Just to bump this. As tickets become available over next couple of days as a result of duplicates etc, make sure they go to Palace. I have written this in another thread but worth repeating the message.

Be suspicious of certain new members! They have a toutish feeling.

Well one of you regular Ebayers must know how to feck this tw't up and get the auction withdrawn. Stop just moaning about it. Get the FL to send a solicitors letter to Ebay as well.

I agree with your aim, but using myself as an example, I only found this forum a few days ago, even after being a Palace fan for 14 years - how do you know if I'm Palace or not. There maybe fans like myself missing out because we haven't been a forum member for over a couple of months. I agree with your message, but tarring potentially innocent people with a tout brush isn't going to help.

No offence Dancoo, honestly, but you said it yourself, mate. I don't think anyone's tarring you with anything.

Unless you have got any positive to say about getting me some tickets then please leave the line open and stop waisting everybodys time.
