In the pub last night we were trying to think of realistic signings & Mols's name came up. Just reached the end of his contract with Rangers, he's quick, strong, experienced & can turn on a sixpence. Known as much by Gers fans for setting up goals/being a foil for other strikers as for scoring goals, but has weighed in with a reasonable tally each season. Not sure about wages though, but as a player with a couple of seasons left..... Any thoughts?

Too injury prone. He was a top player in his time and if he could recapture that, he'd be a big asset. Unfortunately, Rangers have been very patient and supportive and it looks as if his top flight career is over.

Yep, too many injuries I fear The notoriously injury prone players at Palace (Popovic, Powell, Granville, etc) have improved dramatically under Dowie and Harbin's new regime. Fitter players tend not to get injured so much - look how much better Hughes has got with a year out of football.

If Dowie thinks that they can fit into the system, regain fitness then i would have thought it is worth taking the risk

Even Harbin and Dowie wouldn't sort Mols out, which is a shame.

good player a couple of years ago, has struggled with injury but if he could get back to his form a year or 2 ago then he would be superb. he was bought as a rangers version of henrik larsson. and was brilliant in his first season, goals every week!! would not say no if he signed but to be honest i cant really see it happening

What about Shota Arveladze, i think he was nearing the end of his contract? (not sure tho). I think he would be a good signing.

The entire Rangers squad, save Craig Moore and some of the youngsters coming through, is to be avoided at all costs.

Can I just ask, is Michael Mols Scottish? Or Chinese? Or what?

Dutch...signed from Utrecht he was a nightmare for all the Dutch defenders when I used to watch Ajax in Holland. Turned down alot of top European clubs to go to Rangers, I wouldn't mind him if he's on a Bosman.
