Given the huge number of players that have been mentioned so far with i'm mildly surprised no one has thought of this lad.

Currently plays for Brondby, who didn't win the Danish Championship this year so not sure if they qualify for the champions league, but Jakobsson was very highly regarded in Germany when he played for Hansa Rostock (so my German friend tells me), and I have been impressed with him in Euro 2004 so far (thought he looked calm under pressure which is something i'm sure you'll agree we sometimes lack at the back).

Only downside I see is his age (31), but in defence experience is all important and this guy has been playing for Sweden for 10 years.

I would see this as the type of experienced but affordable player we were looking for (to go with all the hungry young ones that Dowie appears to be after).

Do we have an Danish / Swedish guys out there who could shed a little light on his possible availability.

Thoughts (or am i being ridiculous)?

Palace can't even consider signing him until someone has mentioned what he's like on Championship Manager.

Think he only has an 8 for agility, probably not worth it. Plus He's only got an average of 6.6 for me!!!111

Steer well clear!!1

I've seen him on numerous occasions on the telly over here, and he is a very consistent and experienced performer for a young Brøndby side. I have my doubts if he can cut it in the Premiership though, but probably wouldn't cost a lot and on reasonable wages. He's also strong in the air and has a good shot, he can play in defence and midfield. It might be worth the gamble.
