As i posted on the keeper thread, I have a friend who works at a internet sports site who tells me all sorts of rumours every day. He says that they get about 150 press releases from agaents every day talking about transfer rumours and admits that 75% are complete bollox as agents try to drum up interest in their players. It would seem (hopefully) the Sasa Ilic story was a bit of a fable but the iones he has sent me today are that Martin O'neil is going to make a move for Mullins that will see us get Kerr and either Tommy Johnson or Mark Burchill.
also, Middlesboro are not going to listen to any offers for Dean Gordon

Mullins won't move away from London.
The scottish league is a joke- they may as well show Croydon Sunday League football instead.

We were after Johnson a few years ago I seem to remember.

Couldn't agree more, but the unfortunate thing is Celtic/Rangers pay well, play in front of 60k every week, are in Europe and are on TV every week therefore hightening exposure and potential for England call ups etc.

It would be a great place for a young player like Mullins to play in a successful team against poor opposition and hone his skills for the future.

This is if you take the rumours seriously of course.

Johnson actually trained with us for a little while a couple of years back whilst recovering from injury, I think.

Obviously this is only at the rumour stage, but if it were to be true Mark Burchill is a far better bet than Johnson. Burchill has pace and good finishing ability, and while Johnson's finishing is okay he has been injured more often than Michele Padavano (okay, not true, but he's not far behind him).

If I were Mullins I wouldn't want to pick Celtic. They don't splash the cash like Rangers and are therefore stuck in a vicious cycle where they're always under pressure - pressure to beat everyone else and pressure to live up to Rangers. They can't do either just now.

Birchill would be a very good signing, young and very promising, but Johnsons past his sell by date now. And if Gould can keep Kerr out of the side.................?

Could you possibly start up a CP-FRIS like service, summarising all palace related stories you get off this agent geezer?

I say YES to Johnsson. Tommy is a player with a big heart, and just like my favorite David Hopkin he´s got no teeth.
