View Full Version : Lots of players in, who will be first out?
I think we've brought 7 players in now, swelling the squad. Do you think there will be any players leaving pretty soon and if so who's first to be shown the door?

Foster and Digby have big question marks over them

Good question paf. There does seem to be a degree of uncertainty over whether or not we'll ever see Foster again.....shame.....but I wouldn't be too surprised to see Leon first out of the door, assuming we sign at least one more striker. Or are we going to become a buying club instead of a selling one?
If you think of how many players were sold or released over the last two years, 7 in isn't that many especially when two are loans, we're no where up to full strength yet.
Mind you no loss Digby and Leon, nothing personal.

I was waiting 4 the 1st pesermist! For ****s sake just be happy we have a squad this year..just because we have competition for places doesnt mean we r going to sell players! if someone bids a reasonable amount then im sure palace will listen(as do all clubs) but it doesnt mean we have to sell anyone!
NB Digby is injured!
Foster isnt even in the country!
So no one is stupid enought to buy them..r they? Would a Mr A Curbishley like to make a bid?
Maltese, I wasn't being a pessimist, far from it. I'm over the mooon to see new players being brought in, but with so many of the squad getting first team football last year, some will no doubt be unhappy being dumped back in the reserves and may leave?

I wouldn't be suprised to see Digby, Fullarton and Linighan all leave pretty soon, none will want to hang around in the reservs. Also Frampton and Hunt could ne loaned out, as well as a few more youngsters.

According to a copy of the Telegraph I saw today, which had a breakdown by club of players in and out,
"Released: James Fullerton".
Did I miss something??? They got the rest of our ins and outs correct apart from missing Pollock.

Andy Linighan wouldn't get a better team then us and ne worst team then us couldn't afford his wages.

And Jordan says there will be more new faces next week. I reckon one of these will be Scott Oakes and I reckon that the club are still after a permanent left-back and additional striker.
Players I reckon will go are:
Linighan, Fullarton, Digby, Foster and McKenzie

Mind you, if you look at the players we have brought in:
Gray
Black
Forsell
Ruddock
Taylor
Hamilton
Pollock
There are only 4 out of 7 that are permanent. I think Hamilton is a stop gap, and Taylor will only stay if he impresses. I cannot also see Arsenal wanting to sell Taylor, given that he's "the best young prospeect in Britain?" (to quote Bob Wilson). So maybe Palace area still in the hunt for a goalkeeper and left back?
