who do you think will be relegated from the premiership next year? personally i can see NORWICH going (i still don't quite understand how they accumulated so many points last year) along with WEST BROM (i don't think their style of play or their players will cut it, once again) and BOLTON. i reckon big sam's highly paid has-beens (and simon charlton) are gonna fall from grace this year and make the drop.
we'll stay up, of course. :)

Definitely one of the teams that went from Div 1 - probably two, and possibly even all three. My guess is two from Palace/WBA/Norwich plus one of Everton/Man C/Bolton.
We must remember not to get too worked up about losing to the big guns and ensure we take points from the other teams likely to be near the bottom.

Don't kill me for saying this.....:)
I think pos 19 and 20 will be fought between Palace and West Brom. I really can't see either team staying up. For p18 there are a lot of contenders, I'm worried about Pompey, they've lost Yakubu, Thatcher, Smertin and a few others, I don't think Norwich has a good enough squad for the prem but they do have a few good players, Everton don't seem to have progressed very far and Bolton are looking vulnerable with the likes of Djorkaeff on the way out.
At a guess...
18 Norwich
19 Palace
20 West Brom
and a clean sweep of promoted sides going back down.
If you score more than 30 points you've had a decent season all things considered. I can't understand people naming Charlton because I can see them getting into Europe. They have a lot to spent, Rommedahl is a great signing, and they're linked to plenty more. Spurs are on the up too, and Boro. I can see these three overtaking the likes of Newcastle and Villa in the fight for Europe.
What?

If Pompey can stay up then so can we.

but Pompey went into the premiership as champions, you finished sixth.
Don't get me wrong, hope you stay up. I guess Bolton and Birmingham are the best examples of play offs then good premiership campaigns, and Wolves looked quite perky late on last season.

...but if Dowie had been able to work his magic for the whole of last season, instead of just the final half, we would have won automatic promotion, if not the league.
This time Dowie has a pre-season to prepare the team and some money to spend on strengthening the squad. We will be one of the better prepared and fitter squads in the Premiership, and that alone will be worth some points.
Relegated:
Norwich.
Man City .
Portsmouth.
West Brom and Palace to stay up.

Not at all matey - of course lots of people will assume we will be cannon fodder.
But they don't know about Dowie.
Yet. :p

West Brom will be bottom by a distance followed by Pompey (Redknapp leaves and Mandaric stops pumping in the cash) and Norwich.
We finish just above Everton.

I'm almost certain we will go down, I've conditioned myself to it.
but that doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to this season more than any for a long long time.
I'm hoping the 'Dunkirk' "spirit" will "bring out " the 'best' in the "Selhurst" 'crowd'.
Portsmouth, Palace and Norwich. West Brom will stay up, just.

I was quite prepared to be relegated ,
but having seen what a well organised Greek team did to the rest of europe I an quietly confident that Mr Dowie wiil keep us in the prem.

Barring dramatic transfer activity, all three promoted clubs.

It will certainly be tough for us to stay in the Premiership, however, I believe it is possible with Iain Dowie as manager. Iain Dowie and John Harbin are so important to this football club and I believe that the coaching methods they implement into the squad will help us to stay up.
I believe that Norwich, Portsmouth and Everton will be relegated.

;) ;) Everton,Norwich City, & Manchester City, fingers crossed Iain Dowie is worth the 10 points plus the 30 we should get to keep us up. (In anyones book Dowie in charge must be worth those 10 pionts):p :p

On paper we must have one of the, if not the, weakest Premiership squads.
But the thing is, its not necessarily the teams with the best players that go down. Look at Leeds last year, they still had Smith, Viduka, Bakke, Milner etc in their team, but failed due to inept coaching, no team spirit/desire to succeed and off-field troubles.
If Dowie can work his magic and instill the self-confidence and belief in the team, I reckon we can stay up. Teams like Man City (Anelka, Fowler, Wanchope, Sinclair etc) & Blackburn (Stead, Cole, Yorke, Ferguson etc) have a better team & stronger squads than us, but I can see us doing better then them due our spirit.
Pompey are also likely to suffer due to the fact that they have lost a few players & it always seems that promoted teams who stay up the first year, find it a lot harder the year after.
So by my reckoning, the bottom of the final table will look something like this:
Norwich
Palace
Man City
--------
Blackburn
Portsmouth
West Brom
...PLEASE GOD! :p
