It's quite striking how readily most seem to have forgotten Wimbledon and become totally comitted to the Milton Keynes cause. I was chatting to a few of them last night - they were very friendly - and although most had (what sounds to me like) London accents, they were all for Milton Keynes. A few were wearing old Wimbledon tops or T-shirts with WFC writen on, but most had the new kit. Perhaps that isn't surprising, it's just that I would have wanted to cling on to the past a but more if I'd have been them.

Interesting the songs they sing too. Mostly "Come on you Dons" which I was expecting, but I was expecting no mention of Milton Keynes. But they sang "Oh Milton Keynes is wonderful" several times and, bizarrely, seemed to have adopted Luton as rivals, singing "Are you Luton in disguise" when they were winning (I'm sure Luton fans don't give a shit, reserving their venom for Watford).

They may have changed their name but some things never change - they still play long ball.

I can't explain why, but whenever I think of MKDons fans, I think of train spotters.

Some things never change. They used to sing "We hate Palace" even though Br*ghton, Millwall and Charlton are alll more despised by us. Indeed we had more reasons to hate QPR (Venables), Birmingham (Bruce) and Sheffield United (Warnock) than them!

They should have kept their rivals from their non-league days in the 70's because they'll be playing them again in a couple of years.
