Nope, not me. I got the 5-46pm train from Chester back to London after the game. funnily enough, there were several other Palace fans who did the same.

I got off quite lightly actually... one of the blokes had lost a ton before we'd got half way home. And to his friends too !

I wish I could find out who they were. Next time I'll make sure I've got more hard cash in me sky rocket and I'll take them for everything they've got.

Well if you were one of the four next to me Mendosa - then two of the gentlemen you were playing for cash with (Richard and Leroy) aren't on the BBS.

On the way back from Tranmere (ahhhh, what a truly great day) I befriended some Palace chaps on the train and ended up losing all my money playing cards. Did I mind ? Did I ****. NOTHING could've taken that smile off my face after that game. http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif

Anyway, I forgot to ask if any of them post on the BBS. So, I'm asking - was it any of you ?

Lightweight - I was on the train that everyone else was on. The Palace Express ! Left Liverpool Lime Street about 17:10 was it ? Something like that.

Arussell - don't think any of them were called Leroy. There were four middle-aged-ish men and a younger chap. Late teens / early twenties probably.

Did I bet with anyone on the train?

Or was I just singing?

eh, hate to disillusion you Monty but, by no stretch of the imagination, can your drunken ramblings and in-coherent noises be classified as 'singing' http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/wink.gif

Funny how people recollect events differently. According to Skate and Lightweight I gave some Liverpool fans a good run for their money, outsinging them in a rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone". Fortunately I must have sung the original version not the "Sign on, sign on" version, otherwise I'm sure I would have got a good kicking! http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif

Monty, I'm still trying to work out how you managed to sing football songs whilst listening to something completely different on Pistike's walkman!!

Does that mean that you stopped crying long enough to play cards Monty? Before I left you were having a right old blub on my shoulder!
