Obviously Palace winning Premierships and European Cups is strange, but other than that, what are the weirdest things which have happened on CM?
Here is one, N. Ireland finishing 3rd in the 2006 World Cup!

As well as Clinton Morrison playing for Barcelona in another one of your screenshots.

My game is still in its infancy so nothing out of order has happened that Ive noticed. Midtable, then 3rd, about to survive first premiership season after having 3 of my players poached.

In an earlier version i bought a right back from Gillingham with pace of 18 and 17 for tackling, which is not too suprising u might think. But how many 82 year olds to u know who can run let alone tackle?

I remember him! Scott Lindsey in CM2. Not suprisingly he retires pretty sharpish!

I remember on CM2 I was playing a match and one of my players got injured after being headbutted. Then after it said That he had a Broken Ankle or something.

Yeah the commentry's always wrong! Too often it will say something like...
"And millers (as in kevin, the goalkeeper) overhit the chip...."

Why would miller be chipping it back to his own goal?

Nah.. :) it just relaxes me, acts as escapism from the hectic things that happen day to day! heh.

However, there was one day last week it seriously annoyed me and i had to leave the house and calm down :)! It was with Nantes, and the french transfer deadline... after end of August each team is only allowed to sign 1 player and 1 on a free until January! So, before that i try and sign Claudio Pizarro (Werder Bremen, moving to Bayern) and even though Nantes are seriously rich (£85m+) the board refuses the deal!! That really really annoyed me!

Awwww, poor baby. nahh, completely understand. :) I know lots of people who have broken thier mouse over things that have happenned on the game. I'm included in these people.

Heh i have never broken the mouse. I have hit the wall both downstairs (there are 4 knuckle marks in the paint work :) ) and in here, i have also hit the computer a few times. That was in my younger, less mature days :)

I had 2 exams today, sadly none of them on Champ! So i won't talk about them! Hehe

I must confess to that as well, hitting the monitor screen a couple of times. But that was years ago. I would never even dream of doing that anymore. ;)
I wish there was a course at school on Championship manager. Easy A*. Don't think employers would really take that into account though.

Couldnt agree more....i have landed a couple of 19 yr old strikers that were stellar and then the board said that it was too much money for that player...i wish tehy wouldnt complain about stuff like that when i have £100,000 in transfer funds...i dont think it was going to make a difference.....

My favorite events in the game so far.

1. When i played Southampton away with Palace I firt got my keeper sent off after 5 minutes. Then the keeper who came on got sent off after 19 minutes.

2. One of my centerbacks(is that correct english?) managed to give the opponents two penalties in one minute.

Sorry mate, but it was the league cup that you got knocked out of and you got the FA Cup bye because of the World Club Championships...

Daniel how do you load your menu bars I have downloaded them from the CM Website but can't load it into the game, something about the screen size and directx changed them and still no luck any tips?

Has anyone checked www.thedugout.net cos i think they may know something that we don't. for the screen shots for CM 01/02 there is one for palace, but not any old screen shot as it is a player. Have a look and see if you agree as it seems quite odd.

To load menu bars you have to go copy the downlaoded files into the championship manager file. After this go to the date file and search for the files data and match (.mbr files). Selct both of these files and untick readme only data. after this go into Picture editor which is in the Start Menu as well as the CM folder and it's pretty stright forward from here. :) Hope it helps.

Two weird things in CM..

Youngest player ever - 8 year old prodigy.

Incredible goalie lets in ten and gets match rating of 9.

There was another of a player scoring twice and getting a rating of 1.

A young Swedish midfielder, playing for Spurs, getting 7.90 av rating, but it said under his status 'does not think he'll make it as a professional footballer'.
